I feel like sports movies should be split into three categories: Baseball, non-baseball and comedies with a sport as the backdrop.

Baseball:
Major League
A League of Their Own
The Natural
Bull Durham
Eight Men Out
The Rookie
Moneyball

Non-baseball:
Tin Cup
Hoosiers
We Are Marshall
Draft Day (haha just wanted to see if you were paying attention)
Rudy
Brian's Song (1971)
Miracle
Jerry Maguire
Color of Money
Glory Road
Coach Carter
Rocky
The Legend of Bagger Vance

Comedies:
Caddyshack
Slapshot
Happy Gilmore
Talladega Nights

A fine list only 19 movies too many!!!!

Hey, if you like baseball movies, check out The Final Season and The Perfect Game. I highly recommend them and 42 and *61 as well.

THE SANDLOT!

OTHERS (no particular order):

Non-Fiction
Eight Men Out
Miracle
Remember the Titans
Greatest Game Ever Played
Brian's Song (original)
A League of their Own (okay, that's 6, sue me)

Fiction
Rocky
The Natural
The Replacements
Bull Durham (hurt by how utterly unbelievable some of the actors were as players)
For Love of the Game (hurt by Kelly Preston's character being a whiney btch, and John C. Reilly being completely unbelievable as a major league catcher)

The Natural, reason Romo wore 9 and Field of Dreams, and I can't stand baseball. There are others but those two stand out for now.

Cinderella Man
Rollerball (1975)
Hoosiers
The Longest Yard (1974)
Rocky

Although I gotta say, the one scene with the football game in M*A*S*H (the Altman film -- not the TV series) tops all of them.
