3 because he does way more great plays, that helps this team win. That’s what I look at, the whole picture, not just the interceptions. Every QB throws interceptions.

2/3.

If you’re only looking at interceptions 10. If you take them with context and look at all the other metrics we’ll below 5.

Hard to put a number on it.

Reason being, this is a new Dak we are seeing. Most of the interceptions that are on him, are coming on aggressive throws that he rarely threw in previous seasons. He's decided, or been told to play this more aggressive style but since it's new to him it is much harder to "clean things up" since he's never really had to clean it up before.

The worst thing he could do is get nervous and go back to cautious Dak.

Because the bulk of them haven't been his fault. Last year he was afraid to pull the trigger and a lot of his haters here pointed that out. "He's lost confidence in his arm" they said. This year he's firing them in there without hesitation. Give me this this version over the scared version any day.

Ernie I agree with your thoughts. Sometimes Dak really throws a head scratcher, but when you allow for exceptions like deflections, the WR just falling down, etc, that's different. But some act like nobody throws interceptions but Dak. I'm neither a homer or hater, some defend everything he does while some hate everything he does. Dak is here to stay so constant badmouthing him day in and day out regardless of the truth is a total waste of time and effort.
Dak is certainly not elite, but when he's on he's good. When he's off, he's bad. I just believe in giving fair credit where credit is due.
And no, Rush was/is not better than Dak.

My concern level is 6. And I am a Dak fan.

Dak has never been a turnover machine. But even though half of his 14 picks aren't his fault this has to be getting in his head. He's saying all the right things but the fact it's happening so much right before the playoffs is a bit worrisome. You have to wonder if he's going to be too cautious in the playoffs and this offense loses some of it's explosiveness.

The only 2 reliable WRs he have that gets separation are CeeDee and newly acquired TY Hilton. All his other WRs can't separate, making Dak have to thread needles (which are risky).

Or, he can throw it on the money, hit a WR in their hands, he drops and/or tips it - right into the hands of a defender who then gets credited with an INT.

At least 6 of his 14 INTs were because of this ^ stuff.

Last year before MG13 got hurt, and they had Amari and CeeDee. He threw only 10 INTs in 17 games. WRs had much more separation than the ones he has now outside of CeeDee and TY.

1=no concern vs 10=very concern

I will say this.......I like that he's still being aggressive but these issues have a way of showing up in the playoffs where the margin is razor-thin. Remember we had penalty issues all last season? Guess what cost us in the playoffs?

FOUR, I'm not hugely concerned but clearly we need to get a handle on our turnovers. I say we because the pass catchers aren't innocent here.

I dont see his numbers going back down to where they used to be though. He's taking shots and throwing into narrow windows. He's throwing with anticipation, and there are a lot of risks that come with that. The positive side is we are beating the coverages that whooped is last year.

Full 10. This close to the Playoffs and the mistakes keep happening.

Several of the INTs seem to happen when the team is pressing. Like a couple minutes before the half or end of the game. Which makes me think they are playing tight and makes me wonder if the fear of turnovers is in everyone's head.

The interceptions might be better if he were doing other things superbly.

7 of his ints are not his fault and it leads the league.

Spin it however you want but that is fact.

I’m gonna go with an 8. In the 11 games he’s played this year
  • 4 games with 1 INT
  • 5 games with 2 INTs
  • He’s thrown at least 1 INT every game in December
  • 3 of his last 5 games 2 INTs
I know the Cowboys have a great record this year and some would argue those INTs didn’t factor in the game outcomes negatively but heading into the playoffs we will face teams that will capitalize on every mistake and an INT prone QB is like blood in the water.

I'm not concerned at all. If Dak has 1 or 0 interceptions in a game, they will win all of those games. They will win or lose in the playoffs. If anybody beats them, it will be a close exciting game regardless. They are good. Enjoy the ride.

More concerned with the mental gaffs like running out of bounds when it calls for staying in

or hanging on to ball when you should dump it away

Daks down the list of problems

It’s not Dak that will hold us back this year, it’s the defense. Dak could help by running more when pass lanes are to tight but he is scoring enough to win games.
