Your concern with Dak's interceptions, scale of 1-10

I'm not concerned at all. If Dak has 1 or 0 interceptions in a game, they will win all of those games. They will win or lose in the playoffs. If anybody beats them, it will be a close exciting game regardless. They are good. Enjoy the ride.

Lol, you sound like someone in the marketing team. Most Cowboys’ fans have higher standards than being good in the regular season or losing an exciting playoff game.

1=no concern vs 10=very concern

I will say this.......I like that he's still being aggressive but these issues have a way of showing up in the playoffs where the margin is razor-thin. Remember we had penalty issues all last season? Guess what cost us in the playoffs?

Not everyone subscribes to group think. This place is a cesspool of ego telling each other what kind of fan someone should be. Wouldn't you find homers on a fan forum? Not here, that get trashed.

In each case ask, should the ball have been thrown to the receiver Dak threw it to? Looking at this video montage I saw 2 where I could say the INTs were not Dak's fault, but in every other case when I ask, should the ball have been thrown to that receiver the answer is NO. Throwing into a crowd is the QBs fault even if the receiver tips the ball and it is intercepted. Dak has to realize that in most cases, throwing it away and punting is better than throwing into coverage and having it intercepted.

So I would argue of these 7 we saw in this video, 2 were absolutely not Dak's fault, 2 were absolutely Dak's fault and 3 were the fault of the QB and the receivers.

By the way, having looked at that deep pass to CeeDee that was intercepted by Green Bay, I think that was mostly Dak's fault. We saw that play posted several times on this forum and from different angles. Even if CeeDee ran underneath the safety there was still little chance it would have been completed. Dak should have picked out another receiver. He seems to zero in on his target making up his mind early that's the guy he will throw to. Against the Titans his second INT he was looking at Schultz the entire time and the DB read Dak and cut in front of Schultz to make the INT on a bad pass that was behind the receiver.

I don't want to be too critical of Dak because the offense is scoring points, but he needs to be smarter, not just in the passing game but also with his situational awareness. Remember it was Dak who ran the football last year and the Cowboys didn't have time to get another play off.

2. Its funny that I didnt hear squat about Josh Allen and the picks he was throwing this year. Im not sure if it was last year or 2 years ago but Mahomes had the exact same thing happen to him with balls bouncing off receivers hands and getting picked.

EVERYTHING is magnified in Dallas, Everything is scrutinized in Dallas. Nate Newton said it best..... MIke McCarthy has to defend a 14 point WIN. Nobody else has to do that, NOBODY. Every win Dallas has comes with Qualifiers, it is crazy.

Dak has a great drive to beat Texans and its .... but they shoudl not have been losing to Texans.(Have you been paying attention to Houston these last 4 games or so?)
Beat the Eagles and put up 40 and its, but you beat the back up.
Beat the hell out of the Colts and score 54 and its..... but ti was close into the 4th quarter
Beat the playoff bound Giants..... but it was close in the 4th quarter.

When I coached club softball I vividly remember going 6-0 and winning a tournament and outscoring our opponents something like 43-7 and I remember laying on the couch Sunday night and being so pissed off that we gave up 7 runs. It is stupid.

any TO is huge against the playoff teams because the margin is smaller

It’s not Dak that will hold us back this year, it’s the defense. Dak could help by running more when pass lanes are to tight but he is scoring enough to win games.
They have a good chance of nothing holding them back.

Most fans don't even know how good this team is.

No one knows with any real certainty. But, signs and symptoms point to potential pitfalls and winning scenarios. In the span of 1 month, the actual contenders will advance deep into the playoffs and Super Bowl. The pretenders face early exits. It has always been that way. I can say with complete certainty that the Cowboys have never had an easier slate of opponents on the NFC side (over the past 26 years)-and will likely never have an easier path regardless of home field advantage.

And I get that half of them are not Dak’s fault. The bigger point is if there’s enough bad play on the team to turn the ball over way too much. That’s a ticket to a first round exit in the playoffs.
This ^^^^^^^
In the playoffs, because both teams are usually good, turnovers can be the difference.

7. They've put the defense in some tough spots and have lost us some games we shouldn't have lost. There have been some really flukey plays due to receiver drops, and I can't put those on Dak...but that doesn't change the fact that they happened and are a cause for concern, whether they stem from bad decisions from Dak or a talent deficit in the receiving crew (if only we could've saw that one coming).

This team needs to play complimentary football like we saw early if they're to have a shot at a legitimate run. Turning the ball over 2-3x/game is not complimentary football and puts unnecessary weight on a defense that's been hit hard with injuries. We keep hearing that the turnovers will be addressed, yet we still see them every week. Hopefully they get sorted out before the playoffs, but the clock is ticking.
Excellent analysis sir.
Well done.

I agree. In the recent past, we had to bite and scratch to get in the playoffs. This team is just different. I really thought we'd have happier fans.

They are not going to be sorted out by the playoffs. We have a large enough sample size now. Turnovers will follow this team into the playoffs. What one can "hope" is that it's only one per game and that the team ultimately wins the turnover differential. Everything gets harder in the playoffs (especially on the road) and the struggle will often create the mistakes that lead to turnovers...otherwise the offense will sink with too much caution. Increased targeting of Hilton could mitigate this. They definitely need to get some speed "going". Gallup is NOT right and Brown still has the dropsies...along with Hendershot. Lamb, Schultz, Hilton and Pollard should be a pretty potent quartet if used correctly.
why they didn't follow eli manning into the playoffs. Farve was mistake prone but the year he won it all did he throw a lot of picks.. so its not necessarily true that some of the bad luck type mistakes dont stay behind.

0.... Teams just don't play perfect football in the postseason, both teams will usually turn the ball over. It's how you respond that matters.
