Your Ideal Playoff Scenarios?

Same here...except that I'm about a 4 hour drive. I've got a couple of good friends in Charlotte that would be down with getting some tickets. I had a great time there last year. I've also never seen a playoff game...

It's actually a nice stadium. I live on the coast so it's about a six hour drive, in my truck it's almost cheaper to fly and rent a car.
Here's to hoping.

Mine is this:
1. Carolina
2. Minnesota/New York
3. New York/Minnesota
4. Arizona
5. Dallas
6. Tampa Bay

That'd mean we get to go to Arizona, then Carolina, and for the NFC championship game we'd have to go to Minnesota or New York. Or (best case scenario possible) we could play a home game vs. Tampa Bay.

Not a whole lot of unlikely stuff has to happen for this scenario to take place either, in my opinion.

Week 16
Dallas def. Baltimore
Minnesota def. Atlanta
Carolina def. New York
Tampa Bay def. San Diego

Week 17
Minnesota or New York wins
Carolina def. New Orleans
Arizona def. Seattle
Tampa Bay def. Oakland
Dallas def. Philadelphia
that is not true the number one seed always has the easiest route to the superbowl so carolina wouls play the 6th seed and the 5th seed would play the number 2 seed that is if they the 5th and 6th seed both won the week before

I definitely want us vs. AZ for 2 reasons.

1. So we can get revenge.
2. So I can go to the game :)

I thought 1st plays 4th or 5th, and 2nd plays 3rd or 6th, regardless of who wins the games between 4/5 and 3/6. Could be wrong I guess, but I'm almost positive that's the way it works.

1 and 2 sit WC week. 3 plays 6 and 4 plays 5 WC weekend.
Then they "reseed" so that 1 plays the lowest ranked team divisional weekend. And 2 plays the highest ranked team left.

that Dallas would beat Carolina. Not going to happen, sorry.
Carolina has the best receiver in the league in Steve Smith
Carolina has the best running back in the league in DeAngelo Williams

I think Dallas, if they play their best, has the best shot to beat Carolina But wise up guys. Have you ever noticed (and I like T.O) that guys like Randy Moss, Terrell Owens, Chad Johnson, FOR WHATEVER THE REASON, don't win championships!

Giants have no shot at winning this game on Sunday.

Think about it.

Waddaya' mean by "guys like Randy Moss, Owens, Johnson...............don't win championships"??
If you mean something like WR's with big mouths who sulk and complain when the world doesn't revolve around THEM, I don't see Randy Moss in that category. If you mean "Big time, big contract" guys, then you got a problem when it comes to Keyshawn, Micheal Irvin, Hines Ward and Marvin Harrison.
Please get back to me and clarify what you mean by "guys like Owens and Johnson and Moss don't win championships".

The way its been for the last 12 years or so I want in and I dont care who we play.... I dont care where we play.

All I want is... once in.... dont lose.... ANY........... Games!

I would like to schedule our next loss sometime in 2009 regular season. :D

Well if Dallas does make it to the NFC Champions, whoever that turns out to be they will definitely be deserving!
They will have faced 3 top 5 defenses in a row, the #1 offense in the league and then possibly another straight game vs a top 3 defense.
If they win that, they will likely then face either another top 5 defense or a top offense (like the Colts if they knock off Pitt/Titan winner)

Dang!

I agree. My heart is already tied in knots for tomorrow. If Dallas wins while Philadelphia, Chicago, Tampa and Atlanta lose, then I will spend next week coming up with dream playoff scenarios.

I like it.

Mine would be:

1. New York
2. Carolina
3. Minnesota
4. Arizona
5. Dallas
6. Atlanta

I think Atlanta wins in Min this weekend and next weekend at home against the Rams, eliminating the Eagles before we even take the field against them.
I also think TB loses at home to SD.

I like this scenario because I believe Atlanta and Dallas could both be favored to beat Min and Arizona.

That could set up Atlanta@NewYork, Dallas@Carolina for round two.

I'd rather play NY than Carolina. Maybe someone will knock them out in an upset.

i want us to go to Carolina and avenge the loss from 1996. that one still stings. then i want to go to arizona to avenge this years loss if that's possible. anything but going to new york. i hate playing there. all the other teams are either semi-warm or domed.

In the first round I want the Cardinals. We have to get back at them for the loss to them earlier in the season and the playoff loss in 1998. We need to prove those were flukes.

In the divisional round I want the Giants. We need to avenge the playoff loss from last year. And because I'm sick and tired of people saying Eli is better than Romo because of the playoff loss.

In the NFC title game I want Carolina. We have lost 2 playoff games to them so far. Winning the the NFC title from them in their house would be more impressive than those 2 playoff wins by the panthers.

In the Super Bowl I want Pittsburgh. They are ahead in Super Bowls 2-1. I want to get even with them. Also to avenge that loss to them a few weeks ago. To prove who is the most successful team in the Super Bowl era. To prove who is Ameriaca's Team. To prove who is the only real team in the NFL.

We need to go all the way to rub it in the Eagle fans faces. I love doing that. It would be nice to have 6 Lombardi's trophies while they are still waiting on their first one. It would make them hate us even more. I love that. It would be so sweet. Long live the cowboys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can we just hope the Boyz get there first?

I don't care who they play, just get there!

I know 1 and 2 sit wild card week, obviously.

I just didn't realize they reseeded for divisional weekend though. I thought seed 1 played the winner of seeds 4/5 and seed 2 played the winner of seeds 3/6, because that's the way the bracket is set up.

I think going to Arizona in the first round is everyone's favorite scenario for the wild card round. :laugh2:

I do like all the revenge that takes place in your road to the Super Bowl though. It might not be the easiest road, but it'd certainly be the most gratifying.
