Your number 1 way to improve the Boys

Let Bledsoe throw deep and stretch the defense to open it up for JJ. All this underneath crud is not showing anything.

Wait a minute, I feel an epiphany! Maybe Sweet Ol' Bill (SOB) isn't letting Drew throw deep until the regular season starts. After all, we know he has the arm, and we have the receivers, so why show it off now? Let everyone think it is the JJ and Witten offense, then let it fly when it counts. Glenn and Key will get open deep and no one will have seen it yet. Great plan SOB!

Once something is injured it times time to heal. Playing thru pain does not create further injury. The staff is very well trained and can tell when to sit a player who could cause more injury by playing or the injury is too dyfunctional to allow the player to play at the level necessary for success.

I want to see the starting OL in there this last week. I'd like to see them play long enough for them to play as a group as well as individually. Rivera needs to get in there. So does Fergy.

So I guess we need the injured starters to return and play at or near top form.

This is all well and good for the regular season but when you have an opportunity to heal up before the 16 game + season starts, it would be wise to start it out as healthy as possible IMO.

"just work with the current roster", silly.

;)

Sorry... you did say improve right???

How many weeks of training camp has it been? Time to sign some players who have the potential to improve the team as a whole now instead of "potentialy" later.

Sign Scott Graggs and Elling.

I would say a proven backup QB...but I don't want to start up a war since everyone loves Henson and Romo.... the normal optimistic homerism. Not trying to be negative or start a new QB thread, but how many of you seriously see either of these two starting anytime soon even with next year in mind? Watch JJ do something big in the offseason w/the QB position if these two don't show something substantial this year.

READ the original post. The question posed was using the player we HAVE, no trades etc.

Again resting Rob's injury to his calf would not help it heal faster at least significantly. He needed to play to get the experience and to show his coach he could do the job.

Without knowing all the info we are just guessing. But I suspect they are resting Fergy for the opener or playing some Thursday. And they will play Rob thru his injury.

Start Burnett at OLB with Ware.

I'd also sign a new kicker(forget your crappy rules) rofl.. jk.

I have to disagree. I think the underneath stuff is what this offense is going to run off all year. Especially to Witten. But Key will make short catches and so will Crayton. Don't expect them to go deep more than the minimum it takes to keep opposing defenses honest. Lot's of runs and short passes this year (and hopefully no more freaking screen plays!).

If possible, and if he's healthy, give Rob a lot of time at RT on thursday.

Pray extra hard for Rivera (as Pops noted) to be healthy.

Basically, we are what we are are and there isn't much we can do now.

Wrong! Start Henson ASAP, cut Romo and make sure Tyson Thompson gets the ball 40+ times a game. Problem solved. Oh yeah, did I mention make Quincy Morgan our #1 WR? :D

Build a time machine so that you can go back in time and

1) Sign Delhomme
2) Not re-sign Flo
3) Not draft Rogers, Gurode, Johnson, Peterman, etc.

Especially with how the OL is performing. I completely agree. There is no time to throw deep at the moment until the OL gets in a groove...or just miraculously improves overnight.

We need a kicker who can kick a 31 yard field goal. That means the ball is on the 14 yard line.

First thing that comes to my mind would be to do our utmost to get Rivera healthy and ready to play. Whatever we can do to improve the play of our OL, do it. I see the OL as the key to our success, or lack thereof, at this point.

Cut Quincy Morgan.

Doing that should make the Cowboys one of the top 5 teams for fewest dropped passes.

Give one thing that you would do to improve the Boys with about 2 weeks before SD. No trades, just work with the current roster and schemes.
Heres what I would do:

1. Start Gurode at center

Pretty obvious...start Romo at Quarterback!

:hammer:

How about this:

Run a wishbone formation a couple of times a game with JJ, A-train and TnT in the backfield.
