Great job so far.
I work with a Bills fan, at the begining of the year he laughed at the Cowboys for getting him. Last night he asked me if he could have Bledsoe back..... :laugh2:

I expected Bledsoe to be good but obviously has exceeded everybodys expectations. But what has impressed me the most is the offensive line, they are giving him time to throw the ball and man can he throw it. Also say all you want about him holding on to the ball too long but it takes a QB with guts to do that and has been making big plays cause of that.

So far he has produced numbers that rank him with the top QB's in the NFL and while Manning has thrown 2 TD and 2 ints Bledsoe has thrown 6 TD and 2 ints and has come through in the clutch I would say that is a bit better than a bus driver.

Maybe he can be a race car driver. :D
May not have started the pole position, but can make a run for first place. OK, I won't get too far ahead, but it's a good start.

I say the same now I said before the season. I will wait until the end of the season to pass judgment. I fully expected to see great games out of Bledsoe. But I am not nearly eased - yet. Vinny had a very good start last year, only to trail off. Bledsoe has a history of great games and then horrible ones at inopportune times.

I really don't know what will happen - if he stays consistent, I am thrilled. I don't mean this post as a knock, but 3 games a full season does not make.

Are you a Dallas fan Crown or rooting for the wheels to fall off?

Bledsoe has kicked the critics in the balls. Now its time to grind out WINS.

Nors - some of your most heated posts are when someone attacks your fandom. I have never done that to you, I would appreciate the same respect.

Further - I never rooted for anything. Bledsoe has done very well. I am impressed. I really am. But I would prefer to judge him by the season as a whole, not his first three games.

Look at the numbers - Vinny started last season quite well too, only to trail off. Bledsoe has done the same. I am ecstatic that he looks so good right now, but I need to see it for 16 games, not the first 3. Not to say I don't expect subpar games, I just don't want him to kill us at bad times.

I promise I'm rooting for him - sorry if 3 games doesn't make think he is already a pro bowler.

Bledsoe may not have such great games in the future, but watch Julius tear up the D the second they try to stop him, I promise you Julius has gone into the game plan of every D as problem #1, eventually they will be forced to deal with Bledsoe. That's when Julius starts to justify his hype.

Yeah - I am very excited about that. I think that after the past few weeks, they are going to have to relax the box a little bit, especially with Witten's game. That will give Jules a bit more room to work.

My only worry there is that Payton will still be calling plays, and if I recall in NY, he just seems to favor the pass game over the run game, even if the latter is working better. I hope Parcells won't allow that to happen.

We'll see - I actually want to see a lot of running into the Raider's front 7 in a ball control attack. I don't want their O on the field.

Let the season prove it out! I agree - Go Bledsoe and the Cowboys....

It is hard to believe this O has only been playing together since July. I see only good things as more is added to their playbook each week.

Didn't know about the passing preference. But yeah, the more ball control we play the better. That means runs and some short, not too short, passes to Witten and Co. This game will have to be coached very intelligently, I don't see us being able to stop the Oakland offense all day.

True.

And I think to myelf after his performance in SD and SF. To play him conservative against the skins just puzzles me. We could very easily be 3-0 right now.

Yup , lets keep truckin. GO COWBOYS!

"I would prefer to judge him by the season as a whole, not his first three games."

Drew is 11-5 in his last 16 games as a starter. That includes the horrible Baltimore BK Broiler, the Pats Debacle and the Pitt meltdown. 11-5, that's as good as you'll get from Drew.

Excellent point. I didn't want to bring it up, given that there's already enough complaining going on in the wake of Sunday's near-disaster, but Payton's refusal to stay with the running game in the second half was a major source of concern, to my mind. People point to the drop-off in JJ's YPC in the second half. My own view is that Payton never allowed him to get into a flow. No reason for it either. We were within 5 points early in the third quarter. Hardly a deficit that should cause you to abandon the running game. Especially after the way JJ had gashed the 'Niners in the first half.

I'm glad the Buffalo defense nor their special teams (which contributed numerous TD's last year) had nothing to do with that record.

Bledsoe pats the and holds on too long. Let me tell you something. You guys that want him to drop three steps and throw. Thats what Vinny did, wether the guy was open or not. Let Drew play the way he plays. So far it has us at 2-1. Several times holding the ball as long as possible was the best thing that he could have done. I have seen him stand there till a defender had his hands on him, then he fires and completed pass.

Drew is 30+. He aint gunna change his throwing motion and be effective. Enjoy the fact you have a QB that will scan and find an open receiver. He wont ditch it cause he feels heat, he will let the play develope and find an open guy or throw it away at the last possible second. He might get a sack or two out of that, but he will complete more this way then if you were to tear him down and rebuild him.
