Yes, I've been tempted to vape, but I've wondered who is making the liquid, and what's in it, and what standards there are if any. Seems like a weird shady business.

Why are you tempted to vape? Just curious? It’s like a hookah...that’s basically what it’s like. Understand though...most pens are being used for wax or dry herb. (Getting stoned) and not for nicotine purposes. So if you see 3-4 people at a bar passing around a vapor pen...that’s what’s up.

    Stay away.

Nicotine is one of the most addictive chemicals around. If you need to quit smoking, man up and quit. It's very difficult, but if you can get it through your own head that you are done w/ smoking, it can be done.

I smoked cigs once back in the 80's. But that was because the girl I was dating also smoked. When we went our separate ways, after a few years. I stopped smoking cold.

As to why I might be tempted to smoke now... I don't know why. But visually, I see Vape shops everywhere... the neon lights or whatever lighting tech they mostly use. Imagine if every Vape shop was instead a "massage parlor." What a temptation that would be to avoid on a daily basis!!!

Well,I’ll be straight up with you on vaping. It’s a pot culture thing.
See all these types? That’s what they sell in your massage parlor looking places you’re talking about. https://vapingdaily.com/best-dab-wax-pen/

I agree. I quit in 1999. I was a very heavy smoker (sometimes 3 packs a day) and I know if vaping was available then I would still be a smoker because I would still be addicted to nicotine. My mom "quit" smoking for about 6 months, but she was still getting her nicotine fix through e-cigs. She ran out of the e-cig and easily went back to cigarettes. 15 years later it finally caught up to her. :-(

I actually know prolly 20 people or so who tried to quit smoking by vaping. Zero success stories. Yes, I do understand that it's a very small sample.

One guy I know has been vaping for 7 years. IMO, honestly, I don't think vaping helps you quit smoking very well at all.

You guys really are killing me. What part do you not get about “sub culture”? They aren’t vaping to quit smoking, they are vaping instead of smoking cigs, and because they like to wax and dab. If you don’t get that by now...then you’re totally out of the loop.

Could be, but vaping was started to help quit smoking, right? And it is not accomplishing it's goal, right? And now it's being used to do drugs, right? So, it's not accomplishing it's purpose, and instead is propagating the further downfall of society due to chasing numnums.

We're not the first society this has happened to.

No it wasn’t. It was started to smoke pot. First time I tried a vapor was in 2000,by a friend to get stoned. The argument is this...would you rather people smoke cigarettes and cigars or Juul and vaping? Because people are going to smoke regardless,it’s just what humans do and I can’t stop it anymore than having only good drivers on the roads. So I’d rather they use those, than annoy people with the smell, and litter of smoking real tobacco. But vaping is basically for the stoner crowd, and you guys just don’t know it.

So I’m curious about people’s big concerns of smoking? Why is it I’m the only one talking about Swisher Sweets and youth? Their only purpose is to smoke a blunt, and it’s been a gateway to getting people intouduced to tobacco and nicotine. Those things are loaded with juice. Taking a big ole inhale like a joint off a cigar mixed with pot? Ahhh what could go wrong with that?

I smoked about a pack and 1/2 a week for about 10 years. Wasn't a big smoker, but still couldn't kick the habit.

Started vaping to quit smoking. I have been cigarette free for 7 years.

I take a puff or two a few times a day.

I think the simulated ritual of smoking with some nicotine did the trick for me.

Vaping has been shown to be LESS dangerous for you. So conversely, better.

That being said - it isn't good for you. Just not as bad as cigs.

    Smoking is stupid.
    Vaping is stupid.

Both have things that can mess you up long-term and if you do it in public you're exposing others to your selfish whims. That being said, it's your body and as long as you're not exposing others to the toxins you're putting into yourself, have at it.

Ok people...I’ve done a 180,and I’m now with the FDA against Jull. The mass marketing, and maybe the most marketed product there is on the market is completely unacceptable. Everywhere I go,I see “Jull” ad’s. I have no problems with a company making a ecig, but there’s boundaries that need to be respected, and this is far over that line. They need to rein in such companies abilities to advertise on a scale like this, and don’t understand why this wasn’t rectified already.

I'm not for making these products illegal, but I don't care to use them myself.

Yessir! as I've prolly half a dozen E-vape units of varying configurations haphazardly lounging around along with about a quart of 18% nicotine juice,in a plethora of flavourings,,,,I did the patches,I did the chewing gum, hell, I even done that self-help smoking cessation Chantrix (bad dream while engaged in operational reality) pill,,,But,,,what I failed to do,and follow thru on,,, was to not walk out the door without a pack o' weedsof camel casing-liner distributorship in my front shirt pocket & my trusty
" magical flame unit zippo " in my right front pants pocket,,, an foreverly inherently instilled character defect I reckono_O

My thoughts: I don't want to spend my money on something that will probably end up being proven unhealthy.
