I like the structure @TheFinisher used. Here's mine, in order...

Tier 1
----------
S--Jabrill Peppers
DE--Taco Charlton
DE--TJ Watt
WR--Corey Davis

Tier 2
----------
DL--Malik McDowell
CB--Adoree' Jackson
CB/S--Obi Melifonwu

Tier 3
----------
DE--Tyus Bowser
CB--Chidobe Awuzie
CB--Marlon Humphrey

Even though he didn't visit and there are apparently no ties to him and it's not a need, it sounds like Corey Davis is dropping due to not being able to work out. He's my wild card. The late visits he's going on are teams drafting near us. If he drops all the way to 28, the BPA value may be too great to ignore.

I don't think Barnett falls out of top 20. Based on late visits, I think Kevin King and Gareon Conley probably aren't around either. It would not surprise me if McKinley is off the board for us, at least in RD1. It sounded like he's a redshirt and this isn't in the cards for Dallas this year (early). Thankfully, it sounds like Charles Harris will be long gone and we'll be saved the mistake of drafting him.

Keep beating this drum, people will eventually wake up
I know you are like his number one fan, you don't understand why people would want to be cautious about him?

The tape always tells, but when I watch it, that shows flash and then plays that I wonder about.

Sell me on the kid. I want to believe.

Why should we spend our pick on him?

Can he play RDE? He is not in the mold of a Marinelli quick-twitch, bend-the-edge DE. Maybe Marinelli can be flexible, though. He certainly has the talent to wreak havoc as a pass rusher.

I plan on doing an in depth post on him soon, hes one of the most fascinating prospects I've seen in my 10 years following the draft.

But you're absolutely correct in that he has inconsistencies to his game. All technique related, and nothing that can't be corrected with NFL coaching. I'll address all of that in my post.

The short version is this kid absolutely overwhelmed his competition at the collegiate level based purely on raw ability. He's so physically gifted that technique never mattered. Imagining what he'll become in 2-3 years once he refines his craft is downright scary

The combination of power, strength, acceleration, quickness, bend, and balance at his size is incredible. He's 300 pounds and carries it like a defensive back. I said before he reminds me of the defensive lineman version of Tyron Smith

I can't comment on the character/behavioral issues because I have no idea to what level that goes. Like I said, it sounds mostly like immaturity issues, but being only 20 years old I'm willing to look past some of that right now.

Malik would be a 3tech, a highly important position in the penetrating defense Rod likes to run with his line.

Its gonna be interesting how they truly feel about McKinley. They were all over him before. Now there is talk they veiw him as somewhat of a redshirt.

I dont get the redshirt talk tbh. The time has him ready in September, meaning he will miss aboutbas much as Collins did. Not optimal, but hardly season breaking

Collins missed 10-12 weeks. That's three months. The prognosis for McKinley is 6 months. Double that.

One guy has a motor that doesn't stop, while the other guy has a motor that doesn't start.

One guy doesn't stop running yet he's always blocked...the other guy never runs yet he's unblockable

We have our 3T. Malik Collins. If McDowell cannot play 1T or DE, we should not draft him.
