You need to stop and realize Zack Martin isn't as nimble or as unstoppable as you make him out to be, especially at the very soon age of 33 and 10 years of wear-n-tear.
He already is getting paid handsomely ($14 mil/year) with 2 years left. If he takes any extra $1-$2 mil more per year on a 2-3 extension? Great. But if he demands to be paid top overall pay ($20 mil/year) on another multi-year extension, sorry, that's way too much, especially with 6+ other younger key starters' contract extensions already due.
