We need to resign him ASAP. Biggest reason I want to get out of this Romo contract.

Best guard in the league.
If he stays healthy they could be talking about him in Larry Allen territory. Larry may have been a freak athlete but you wont find a better technician, and he has the same junk yard dog mentality.

I'd be curious to know what the average success rate is of an NFL lineman. Does the typical guy make a successful block 65% of the time?

I can almost swear that Martin averages more than 1 successful block per play. His average might be 135% per play. He's not only insanely consistent he very often gets the needed chip on an o-lineman and then proceeds to successfully nail someone at the second level.

I bet he grades out as good or better than Larry Allen did in the day.

It's early and things could change but I'd argue that along with Emmitt Smith....Martin is the best football player the Cowboys have ever had.

Martin makes it look so easy, you wonder why every lineman doesn't do the same thing.

What makes him so good?

Our road-grading OL will be obliged to be at their best vs. Green Bay's extremely stout DL on Sunday. I'm surely hoping

they'll continue their quest. It'll probably be their most demanding test of the 2016 season to date.
Hats off to what they've done so far and may it continue, unabated.

What makes him so good?

Quick off the ball, he's a masterful technician with his hands, positioning and leverage, athletic enough to get to reach blocks, pulls and getting to the 2nd level with ease, strong to handle bigger DTs and very smart.

Other OG/OC don't look like him or Frederick because they get to blocks that a lot of players can't. Watching a lot of their tape, you see them get to a reach block against a very good player and still win on the play. Those are incredibly hard to do effectively with the consistency those two do. And often they don't just reach them. They don't just win them. They flat out dominate them. Martin in particular. He has a legitimate shot to be the best individual player at their position to ever play for this franchise if he stays healthy and ages well.

Zach Martin is like a surgeon when it comes to technique, he is so good. His opponent practically quits halfway through the 3rd quarter, they just get worn out from having to battle Martin.

Zack immediately made a difference but make no mistake that the talent at RB makes a difference too.

Nate Newton said the 90's OL was very good then Emmitt made them great.

OMG That was fantastic. I watched it like 6 times. Complete and total devastation. When you talk about bully ball or manhandling another team this is one of the highlights to reference.
