Ah...I get your agenda now.
What agenda? I’m just talking about how RB’s wear down and eventually their body just can’t take the rigors of an NFL season anymore. It’s not an agenda. It’s just the reality of the RB position in the NFL.

..yep, more like the guy regressed. I mean 40k hits during his first three seasons.

Dont know if its a mental thing or his body just can recover fast enough.
Zeke was a workhorse early in his career. It didn’t help that his last HC was a moron that relied on running his backs straight into the ground to win games because he couldn’t win them otherwise.

You saying things like "excuses" and "perpetual injury rest"....

is an agenda. So you don't think so...so what? It is what it is.

The word excuses doesn’t necessarily have a negative connotation. That being said. The reason I used the word excuse is because: some
People brought up that zeke’s production dropped due to the injuries. My argument is, the injuries are indicative of his age and wear and tear. And injuries aren’t likely to get better at this point in his career.

So even if the injuries are the reason for the drop in his production. Can we really expect him to be healthier as he gets even older and absorbs even more career hits? It’s not likely.

If that makes it an anti Zeke agenda. So be it.

If the Giants let Barkley walk and signed Zeke they wouldnt win 7 games. LOL

Danny Dimes and Zeke Idiot!! What a team that would be? LOL

Danny would actually be their best runner.

Damn... why the man have to be an idiot though? All he did was play hard for us.

The problem is you wont; acknowledge the staff SHOULD have sat him . Barkley sits. Lotta players sit out for injuries. Zeke sat what...one or two games over the last three seasons. And Tony got winded just from that.

Zeke played injured. It's a fact. WHY?

Answer that question. It's not up to zeke. He WILL play if they don't hold him.

If you don't understand that simple concept...you have an agenda to hate zeke.

He did. He did everything they asked.

Including that jack arse center hike. What other star running back would do that? What other team would disrespect their RB and ask him to do that? Tony Dorsett? Emmitt? Barry Sanders? Jim Brown? Walter Peyton?

and then these alleged fans laugh at him about it.

I am ashamed of these "fans". ax holes.

For some people it's hard to let go. Zeke is not worth a penny more than vet league minimum. If that. Zeke is not that player anymore. I'd take a speedy UDFA RB at 1/5 the cost over Zeke.

Isn't Barkley tagged? Did he not sign the tag yet? What does he plan to do, follow in Bell's footsteps and not play the year? He's nuts for turning down that 12M a year contract.
He is refusing to sign it.

Thats not true at all. Years 2-4 he got drunk and came in out of shape. Got suspended, whether it was his fault or not. He was always in and out of trouble. then the Cabo incident holding out with 2 years left on his deal. Came in fat that year. Then in years 4-6 he was stubborn about hogging the carries and cared more about personal goals than team goals. All while the better RB sat on the bench.

I can't argue with what you've listed except for one thing.

His suspension was not fair. He got suspended due to some money grabbing trash bag prostitute lying, despite the law finding zero wrong doing on his part.

But I have no argument for the other things. The man did play hard though. He did things better than most of our other RBs during his tenure, like the tough yards, blocking, and catching out of the backfield (when he was used correctly)

When you made that claim before I said “sure” and agreed with you. I even agreed that he had a crappy coach like garret who ran him into the ground when he first came into the league. I’m not sure how much more you want me to say in that regard.

None of that changes the fact that “now” he is too worn down and old that he can’t be relied on as a lead back anymore. That’s not Zeke hate. It happens to every running back ever at some point.

Yes...I see we are in the weeds now. You just said a couple things that indicate um..well "zeke hate".

"excuses" is one of them. I do not accept that term for Dak...I will not for zeke either.

I think he played hurt. You think he's washed up. I think he wont; be 2016 zeke you think he can't even be early 2022 zeke.

As I said...we shall see. We'll have to let this old horse die for now.

It was really Jerry's feud with Godell. And...our emergence as a contender. Godell wasn't about to let any of that slide.

What better way to punish Jerry than bench zeke.

It worked.

Yeah, these Zeke backers here need to give it up and admit the guy is a shell of himself. Some even still think he will be back in Dallas. Disillusional. He needs to be happy he got paid and just go on with his life, at least he's healthy enough to live a good life with his family now.
Exactly. He made out real good here.

..looking that way. Tough break for the guy. Blame his agent, I suppose.
After Week 1, most vets will get a look.

GTD $$$ before week 1.

Zeke doesn't need to play for free. He's made his money and his fame.

You are making the assumption he will ALWAYS be injured. That's just a bit agenda driven.

Like your "excuses" explanation...it isn't ALWAYS a bad thing...it is what it is.

If he gets enough time to FULLY heal. *IF* he plays for a team that can manage his time instead of running him into the dirt....I think he can still contribute.

You don't. We disagree no big deal.

I'm a defender.

That doesn't mean I fail to see he's got some persuading to do. He does.

But I'm among those who believe he still has something in the tank at 28 yrs old, if only he can get his knees healthy and keep them healthy.

And... don't hyperventilate... but I'm still among those who believe there's a number where Jerry and Zeke can agree for him to return this season. The question is whether someone goes down with an early training camp injury somewhere else first, allowing him a better payday and a higher probability of playing time. But I'm totally on the bus that says Zeke... healthy Zeke, that is... is an almost perfect fit beside Pollard. No question in my mind.
We will very likely have to play the 9ers. So Zeke is obsolete. They have his number.

Zeke partied himself off the team.

Too much tequilla and Colombian gold.
