You truly don't understand why it is a good thing if a RB is elusive, or you you don't understand the term? Curious which it is.
What's silly is expecting a player to be what they were years ago. Completely different O line, QB, coaching, less mileage and his carries per game are down. I think there's some to be critical about, but it's so blatantly obvious how different things are. I can recall numerous games when he was getting yards, but they just stopped running. Or, they called the same/similar running plays one after another. Or dump offs in the flats with zero blocking. That's a silly statement and not true at all. I think most reasonable fans want him to be the guy HE was a couple of years ago. No one expects him to be what you are pretending they are expecting.
He should check out a few Barry Sanders highlights to understand what elusive means. That guy was unreal..... If he hadn't retired early it was going to be a toss up between him and Emmitt for the all time rushing title.
Not really. Emmitt was always going to get that rushing record. He was a year younger and a ton more durable than Barry.. and he played the game in a style that was well suited to 3-4 more years coming off the bench if he chose to. Because his game was never predicted on speed.. So even after he lost what speed he had, Emmitt could still get 4 yards per carry with limited reps and he could still find the smallest crease into the end zone. Had Barry played 3 more years and put up 3000 more yards Emmitt would simply have played one more year and passed him. If Barry played 4 more years Emmitt would have played another extra year. The record was important to Emmitt.. and was GOING to get it. Period. I firmly believe that an older Barry Sanders would have eventually blown out a knee so bad that he would not have been able to come back. Old knee ligaments don't tolerate that kind of jarring stop and starts as well as young ones. I have a feeling Barry knew it too which might have been why he walked away. He had already almost ripped up his knee in '93. If he did it again in his 30's he might have walked with a cane for life.
There have been a lot of mistakes made by Jones in recent years. From signing Elliott to a huge extension, hiring McCarthy & not paying Prescott. In the end, all three will prove costly in 2021. BOOM!
Got to clock him running up to the buffet.Exactly! Where is that 4.45 speed he had when he was drafted.
…..and some want to blame him for coming out and ignoring KMoore is yanking him or Pollard out most of the time, with his baffling packages.Still with this garbage? Does anybody watch football other than the Cowboys?
He's been first or second in offensive snap % every year he's been in the league.
He has added some mass, simply to be able to withstand the amount of miles this team is going to put on him. How many times have we seen zeke just bull people over. It’s a style of running and a small frame wouldn’t work. You aren’t gonna juke you’re way to the end zone every time in the NFL. You’re gonna have to run someone over once in a while. If the team decides they want zeke to cut some weight and be that guy again I’m sure his carries would be managed a lot more. We would maybe see more screens and different type of run plays. Until then it’s pound the rock between the tackles and take what they give us. We also don’t play with the lead very much so of course we don’t effectively run the ball as well as some other teams right now. Let’s just chill on the let’s cut zeke he is done stuff....geez
wonder what he thought of Dennis Rodman LOLI don't like people making stuff up. Go ahead and critique Zeke's play. Fine.
But grown men whining about how he looks and acting like it has something to do with how he plays (lol) and just totally making things up is stupid and annoying. There's like 50 posters on this board who are all exactly the same - Zeke/DLaw/Dak/Jaylon don't fit the mold of the player they are looking for, which is generally unrealistic, so they just totally make things up and/or create standards that no player could possibly meet.
Did he really run zeke into the ground?I blame JG and running him into the ground. I have to give it to him though, he’s a tough dude. Love the fact he’s never been injured.
He doesn't suck. He's just not worth his contract.Doesnt matter if he is fat or not, he sucks.
Jerry's school of math.4 is half of 11? I know I suck at math, but not that bad.
Or his agent.Zeke is that you.
Nah, you won't.He may not be fat, but he is slow. A slightly above average, short yardage power back. I could find one of those at the Home Depot.
His beard is slowing him down.Exactly! Where is that 4.45 speed he had when he was drafted.
