One week Zeke is praised for his tough running, the next week he's a progress stopper. It's tough being a player for this fan base, lol.

We didn't miss Zeke today. Without him we open up our offense for the big plays. Moore was also more creative with the playcalling.

Zeke has become nothing more than a 1-trick pony. We don't need him.

Personally, I like the idea of Zeke getting 70-80 yards and hurting defensive fronts in the process. That makes Pollard all the more destructive when he comes in - especially in the 2nd half.

We missed Elliot today, make no mistake about it. We were scoring too fast. We would’ve Pounded the ball a little bit more today than we did . Tony Pollard is a phenomenal player I’m glad we have him. Zeke is every bit as valuable
I can’t tell if this is real or sarcasm.

Zeke is washed up. Everybody can see it except Jerry and some die hards.

but if this motivates Zeke to perform better when he returns then great.

True .....fans forget or overlook, they both have different running styles. Zeke is a downhill runner, not a lot of quickness or speed but he wears defenses down. I read a few times where opposing coaches have said you have to be on the sideline to hear the impact or pounding offensive players take when tackling him. I still think we need BOTH but Pollard should def get just as many carries, if not more.
I agree. Now can you tell Kellen Moore to let Zeke run down hill and stop handing him the ball standing still in a shotgun formation?

The issue with that argument pertaining to the last game is that the offense was scoring touchdowns almost every time they had the ball.

Scoring a touchdown is always a good thing whether it takes 13 plays and 8 minutes or 1 play and 12 seconds.

The cowboys defense also holds responsibility for getting themselves off the field. They allowed way too many rushing yards at too high yardage per rush. If the offense wasnt elite yesterday the cowboys would have gotten a beat down.
So ... We are in agreement? (Except for the beat down part)

Nobody can stop Tony Pollard except Zeke.
yeah but jerry paid Z big money, he is a rd 1 pick, jerry likes those.
Also dak and Z are big buddies.
so we are stuck with zeke if he is not hurt.

Careful what you wish for. No way now how you toss Zeke to the side. He's kept Pollard fresh no doubt. Malik Davis was Zeke in Chicago game. Zeke no doubt is a step above Davis. Keep this duo going. Maybe Pollard gets more carries but I say keep it more 50/50.

Just when I think I have seen the thread with the absolute absence of critical thinking, and then this thread comes along.

Zeke is a progress stopper.

Are all those who agree with this idea aware Chicago had the 29th ranked defense against the run? There might have been a better than 50/50 chance of getting close to Pollard's yards if McCarthy put on a uniform and was the RB Sunday.

Not knocking Pollard, but this wasn't the '85 Bears.

If you want to hang your hat on something, the Bear's pass defense was rated around 3rd over-all. So what the offense did in the passing game was much more significant than the running game. There was one play that you can see on the all-22 where Smith took his man and ran him to Ft. Worth. Pollard scooted through a hole the size of an eighteen wheeler.

Now we have another 12 days of this silliness before Dallas prepares to play again. I hope I laid in enough aspirin.

Then he would be like JWitt was a few seasons ago.

.....then he has reached the level JWitt was in his comeback to soak up playing time for the likes of Blake Jarwin?

Totally Agree, his deja-vu hop over the bear player this past weekend is the most exciting thing he's done in years. Well, I guess he has had a few good blocks as well.

I won't call him a progress stopper. What I will call him is a FB. At this point blocking, short yardage and screens. Bulk of the carries should go to Pollard.

Just my 2 cents.

Yep...
