Zeke needs 258 yards for record (aka Finding Dickerson 2)

This is a bit off topic, but does anyone recall how good the Rams line was for Dickerson's rookie year?

This is a young team playing together and continuing to build cohesion is more important than resting they got a week to rest when the season's over

If he can go for 150yds next week, I could see Garrett allowing Zeke to try to break it. Didn't they run Murray a lot also to break the Cowboys rushing record for a season, along with being a cog in the offense?

I'd rather we take care of business with DET and give him rest against PHI.

Not popular, but I'd hate for him to injure himself and derail our postseason.

And knowing Philly, they would probably want to rain on our parade. One of the most ungraceful teams I know.

I think if hes within 25-50 yards coming out of halftime against the eagles the coaches give him the 3rd quarter to get the record.

IMO find a way to beat the Lions and let McFadden and Morris carry the rock against Philly

Bingo. Lock up HFA next week and go easy on your stars at Philly. There are bigger goals than individual records this season.

Would love to see him get it, but do you rest him? I don't really like having him sit for 3 weeks before a playoff game

I think he wants the record, and should have the chance to get it, you cant worry about rest or injurys,
he could get hurt on first play of next game.
I think getting the record might motivate him, and if they dont give him the chance to beat it could demotivate him.
He clearly wants the record.
I would like to see him break it, as dickerson said he couldnt do it.

So I say give him the carries, and let him try to break it.

It's possible.

I think we go all in next week for the W and Zeke picks up 200

So, if Elliott has an average (in relation to the remaining yards required) or better game versus the Lions, and in good position to claim the record again the Eagles, but doesn't get enough carries to finish the job versus the Eagles, does that mean the coaches placed him on a forced fast?

(Man, that's one LONG run-on sentence)

Doug Smith was a 6 time pro bowler
Dennis Harrah was a 6 time pro bowler
Kent Hill was a 5 time pro bowler
Jackie Slater was a 7 time pro bowler

he is going to fall about 100-125 yards short and that is ok.

I think he gets more yards than 123 to 158 in the next 2 games. Seriously, average only 62.5 to 79 over the next 2.
No way he is sitting the Philly game. Nor Dak either.

We will either get HFA or we will be playing the WC game. The starters will not sit for 3 weeks. and if we are still playing for the division in week 17, they all will be out there anyway.
Now if you said he will come up 40 to 60 yards short, that would be more in line. As he is averaging 110 per game.

Agreed, and they do it in every game. Offense gets on a roll then Zeke is out for long stretches. I don't understand having one of your biggest weapons off the field for so long. I understand he needs rest, but it's a momentum killer when he's off the field.
Actually I must say. DMC was a great compliment to Zeke tonight. Seeing Dunbar in on every third down is beyond infuriating though.
