I think our offense gets shut down pretty bad by Cleveland. Best chance to win is going to be the defense not only shutting Cleveland down equally, but scoring a defensive TD and/or enough short fields for Aubrey to kick enough FGs.

With Chubb out, this is more possible, but if the offense has no running attack that Cleveland has to respect then it could get bad real quick.

Zeke is a hard-nosed runner. He never was a speed demon, even in his prime. if the line has improved over last year he will provide great benefit to us. At the same time dowdle will have the best season of his career.

Depends on how he is running. If he is getting 2 yards a clip and others are getting 5 then he may get around 10 carry’s. If he is getting 5 or more yards they will ride him. I think we will be impressed. He is slower now but in much better shape than when he left.

That sounds like a plan, but I think it's more of the fans projecting Dowdle for the most rushes. I hope you're right though because Dowdle is probably our best bet.

key for him this game is blocking. we have two rookies on the OL, so Cleveland is expecting communication and assignment breakdowns and they are going to test it. I expect the rookies to do some good, but make some mistakes and that's all it takes. Zeke is a good blocker in the backfield and I expect to see both he, Ferguson and schoon to help out in blocking. I expect to see a lot of double TE formations. specially on running downs. yes, it means less WRs in route, but ferguson can block (a little) and can run some routes. it will also dictate defensive personnel to Cleveland. either extra LB or saftey and we can choose how to attack accordingly

Dowdle will go for like 12 for maybe 45 yards. Throw in Vaughn for maybe 5 carries for say 24 yards.
