I can’t believe we’re sitting here in 2024 talking about Zeke getting double digit carries.

Zeke always started strong in his last years with us. But wore down quickly. Enough so that he couldn’t carry the load when Pollard started getting injured late in 2022.
He hyper extended his knee late in the season .

Could be. I saw nearly none of him last year, but what I definitely recall about his last two seasons in Dallas as that he looked strong for the first six or so games, then slowed considerably after getting banged up. The long runs weren’t there but he still had a burst through the line. He really does take a beating….the pass protection often goes forgotten in that regard.

Now maybe they can keep him fresh over the whole season, don’t know. I just hope neither Zeke himself or Jerry try to mandate how he is used. Leave that to Mike and things have a better shot of working out. But….
The extent to which people dismiss this aspect of the work he does drives me nuts. They act as if slamming into 300 pound men doesn't count if you don't have the ball. I would counter that those collisions hurt more because you have little to no control in how they go down. You literally have to step in front of or throw your body at a much larger person with a head of steam for the good of the team. You might have to take it completely in your chest or have to dive in front of a guy and have his knees hit you in the ribs. As opposed to when you have the ball you get to decide what part of your body takes the contact if any at all.

I did watch every snap of his season in New England as well.. thanks to Sunday Ticket and I thought he was fine. It took him a minute to adapt to coming off the bench but once he did I thought he did a nice job considering how bad their line and QBs were. Teams barely had to pay the passing game any mind against the Pats last year. No running back wants to be out there with everybody on the defense out there laughing at your passing attack.

If he was a generational type player he never would have been traded I mean why would they not keep a guy they wasted a pickup I mean you're saying that we should have got a guy but they've not kept them past this rookie year that makes no sense that would mean he did not do for the Jaguars what you think zeke did not do for us now let it go man... It's gotta be one of the worst opinions on the board is to bring back that draft again and I already told you why it's it's just delusional and clueless and wasted thought whatever happened happened and since then we got our guys...
You're spending a lot of time on the Internet telling me I'm wasting time on the Internet.

Obviously with the game in hand there was no need to overuse him. I thought he looked pretty good.. Patient, powerful and absolutely rocked several blitzers trying to hit our QB.
