Pulled from a DMN story in the newsfeed about Zeke not wanting the rookie rushing record to be a focal point:

"Cause it's not important," Elliott said. "You guys want to write stories about the rookie rushing record, and it's about this team, honestly, it's not about a record. That's not what we're focused on. We're a team and honestly I don't want any attention being put towards that. It should be about this team, and it should be about these guys, it should be about our relationship, it shouldn't be about records."

We're seeing Dak turn down late-night TV appearances; Dez not want to discuss his injury after the GB game because "it's not about me -- it's about this win;" the team dinner; Beasley discuss the Romo/Dak issue in team-specific terms; among many other examples.

Pretty cool to witness.

Winning cures all. Always has, always will.

Zeke knows what great fortune it is to play behind that line. Dak does, too. Both are mature beyond their years that way.

And Zeke is the best RB in the NFL right now, bar none. He doesn't need a stat to know that.

How selfish of him to talk about the rookie rushing record when we're just trying to make the playoffs, and notice how he said, "I don't want any attention ... ." You're wrong about this Dale. He's obviously putting what he wants above what the team wants.

I don't doubt Zeke claim of what matters is winning instead of focusing on rookie rushing record. But don't kid yourself Zeke would be thrilled to reach it. These are still competitors and reaching a mile stone like that would be something he would and should be proud of if he were to reach it.

A testament to Jason Garrett. And I've been a big Jason Garrett detractor the last few years, but I don't know, seems like his message is resonating around the team.

I remember when people here were bashing him for him joking around about breaking the record. Here's the truth. Suck it up

These kids are saying and doing all the right things. Love it.

I just hope the doing part keeps up. ZE and Prescott both like to party at times, just hope it's not something we see be a problem. I can't imagine how hard it must be to keep it straight in that team, in that city when you're the talk of the town. We've seen it for decades now.

Didn't Emmitt say he wanted to break the NFL rushing record when he came in the league?

Nothing wrong with goals!

Yes. I agree nothing wrong with setting personal goals as long as the personal goals do not interfere with team goals.
