It's hysterical that any other back on any other team, performing as putrid as Zeke would be benched, but Zeke get's all this highly masculine adjectives as tough, wears the defense out etc. He's to slow to get carries and verse this team it is 100% a waste of down, he can only provide blocking protection as he is one of the worst receiving backs to, yay he catches the ball when it's thrown to him, but falls down to a sneeze, and he couldn't evade an elephant.
Preach!

Those guys for PHI hit each other trying to tackle Zeke, so I don't count that as Zeke punishing defenders. Also, because defenders had to leave a game doesn't necessarily mean it was by Zeke's doing. 6 Giants defenders had to leave the game after tackling Zeke? Wow I have to go back a see this.

Anyways, you perfectly described yourself when referring to bias eyes. Even if your right about 2 games the other games tell a sad story. I didn't make this stuff up. What you speak of for 2 games is an anomaly. Power backs truck ppl every game.
You know why they hit each other? Because Zeke dragged the first tackler for 5 yards and other guys had to come to help and took him out. So if the first guy had tackled Zeke at first contact like you guys keep claiming, the second guy would not have gotten hurt. But do go ahead and re-watch the Thanksgiving game.. Give me your OWN count of the guys he left in his wake. I only brought up those two games just because it was the most obvious in those two.

Here's a nugget from the Vikings game.. On Zeke's second TD run the Vikings defense it perfectly and two defenders hit Zeke at the two yard line.

Then one second later those two defenders are on the ground and Zeke is waltzing into the end zone.

Weird occurrence for a guy who never breaks tackles right? But don't tell me.. let me guess.. You don't count those because the Vikings were wearing purple and everybody knows you can't tackle while wearing purple.

I did go FF through the two games I mentioned and have to retract .. It was not 5 or 6 guys who left the game after tackling Zeke.. It was only one or two.. The rest were just guy getting up very slowly. For some reason I still have in my mind that there were games when there were more than a couple.. But I'd have to go through every game in search of them.. Maybe when I get bored.

Yup i misread there, his avg is still correct though, the reason i picked those games were cause Zeke was injured during that time.
I get your point, rewatching '92 cowboys, Emmitt only started to dominate in the second half after their lines were worn down. Zeke did have a decent burst this year before his injury in the lions game which was a shame. Im just torn on results now or later kinda game plan. Getting shorter 2nd and 3rd downs vs the 49ers will be crucial especially in the beginning to put the pressure on Purdy. I make this opinion mainly based on the fact i dont think Zeke is the same player he was and especially after his injury, and i hope im proven wrong Sunday.
No...... the reason you (cherry) poicked those games is because it supports your agenda.

There are always exceptions dude. Come on.

You say you don;t hate Zeke but went and looked for something to contradict what I said. Fine...and I don;t hate Tony either. I want this horrid o-line to make holes for both RB...mainly so Tony doesn't have to waste 10-15 yards going around the edge. Can you imagine Tony getting full speed through the line of scrimmage? He;d probably double his YPC.

Not sure why you bother Ronnie. These guys already have this in front of their face and choose to ignore it.

Im not sure man, every play we ran him at netted 1yd or worse. We really cant be wasting plays like that against the 49ers.
Pollard deals with the same poor run blocking yet can make the key misses to get yardage.
Id honestly just throw zeke at fullback for pollard, be the moose.
Exactly what Ive been saying . Have him put on 10-15 lbs and be the fullback just like Moose

Yep.

As someone else noted “tough and hard-nosed” is the descriptive alibi for a player that’s unproductive or is not a dynamic playmaker.

They try to assign adjectives that aren’t quantifiable. They may as well be talking about auras and spirits.

Oh, so you were talking out your rear?

No way.

Nobody here would have guessed that from you.

You wanted to know how pollard would do without Zeke, those are two games in which Zeke was out due to being injured after the Lions game. Im lost on how thats some weird conspiracy agenda or something.
Our run blocking isnt great yeah, but like i said earlier, its just not gonna instantly get better all of the sudden especially vs the 49ers, so id rather use Pollard more. Im fine with using Zeke, but not repeating last year vs the 49ers and having him take the bulkload of carries.

Stephen’s approach is to dismiss any stats that don’t support his fandom of Zeke.

[Yes, Stephen, I have quotes on that too]

I am so over it my friend. I'd wish zeke gone this second to this stupid argument.

All I asked for his some caution. People hate zeke so much they have ZERO consideration for what Zeke does for his team mates. Yes...you found a couple games...and misquoted one to boot. Cool. That's fine. Tony is a great RB in his own right.

What....me asking for TOny to prove himself with 25 carries a game over the course of a season? THAT...is me "hating".

People say the same thing about cooper rush...but that's okay. NOT hating at all.

God snowflakes sheesh/

Every time I see Zeke get the ball It reminds of the Harlem Nights scene where Arsenio hall and 2 friends are shooting at Eddie Murphy in a building. Lots of bullets coming from Arsenio and friend machine guns and then the guy doing one little potshot from a small pistol. Pollard is the Tommy gun getting multiple yards per carry and Zeke is the small pistol getting one step. "Stop it. Don't you shoot that little mofo no more!"

- I'm against keeping Zeke in 2023.
- I'm in favor of Pollard getting about 2x more touches in the playoffs.

However...
His average is reduced because he has a significant number of 3rd or 4th and 1 and goalline plays relative to his total attempts.

Zeke & Pollard had the same number of rushing 1st downs in the wildcard game.

2022 rushing 1st downs as percent of total attempts:
Pollard 24%
Zeke 23%

Seems Zeke is better at blocking then running the ball anymore, maybe just maybe, he'll show up and score a touchdown or two...
