Zeke vs. Saquon Comparison

I am assuming Catch means he isn’t good in short yardage.

I wouldn’t say Saquon can’t make short yardage runs. But it is fair to say that Zeke is better.

I would trust Zeke more to pick up a 3rd or 4th and 1 than I would Saquon. But if I needed a RB to break a 50 yard TD for me, I would trust Saquon more.

Zeke hits a lot of homeruns too though. Zekes a big play back.

He’s just better. I don’t know what else to say.

Short yardage effectiveness is due in large part to the guys blocking for you. Having an All-Pro/Pro Bowl center and OG has benefitted Zeke. Meanwhile, the Giants o-line is infamously bad.

Watch more Barkley.. Even in college he toe dips when running between the Tackles.

He wants to get outside the Tackles. He doesn’t want to do the dirty stuff. He has the body for it but he’s very finesse.

His longest run in two (albeit abbreviated) seasons is 41 yards. Prior to that it was just 30 yards.

I really feel like he's bulked up too much from his rookie season. He's more of a sledgehammer now and is still highly effective, but I don't think you're going to see alot if the long runs.

Zeke definitely has the better o-line. That’s for sure.

I just think Zeke is better at lowering his shoulder into a defender and pushing them back for a yard when needed. He is also better at finding small creases to squeeze through and get that needed yard or two. It’s not something quantifiable. Just something I think from watching them both play a lot of games.

They’re both studs. The difference between the two is negligible IMO. They’re both MVP level running backs.

I saw him putting guys on their butts when they played us.

They spammed the football to him and he wasn’t very productive.

He hasnt had 20 carries in a game yet either and that was a criticism of his in college.

Too finesse for me.

Zeke has the edge as a ball carrier, and as a blocker. Barkley has an edge in pass catching.

I’ll keep Zeke.

I trust Zeke, period. Not so much just yet with Barkley. Lets hold off on the Gold Jacket love fest for Barkley. The poor kid has just been in the league half a season pretty much. Right now he's the media Darling...tomorrow he could be the media's punching bag. Lets let this play out for say, 3 years THEN we can make fair comps and conjecture.

That's their offense.

Theyve thrown the ball 50 more times than the Cowboys this season which equates to roughly two extra games worth of passes comparably. When you have guys like OBJ and Evan Engram you're not going to have a RB getting 20 carries a game.

*He had plenty of 20-25 carry games all throughout college. I don't know where you're getting that.
