Zeke wants to stay in Dallas

Can't link it but Gehlken just tweeted that according to a source Zeke wants to stay and is willing to take a pay cut.

That's OK with me if he wants to stay with the team, but only if his paycheck comes out of Dak' bank account.

If Zeke is back next year.. that will tell you how stupid this team is. We'll see if they can make the smart decision and rid themselves of Elliott finally.

So, a prediction. Pollard comes back on a team friendly deal because of the leg and Zeke gives them cap relief on a pay cut.

No changes at RB next year.
That's ideal and good. Zero reason to not sign him if he takes the pay cut. His utility is still there

Exactly. It's cheaper to keep him at a reduced salary than it is to cut him.
I wouldn't. I'd rather the guy who gets Zeke's playing time be someone who is not completely washed. Someone who can actually be productive and make plays.

I know you guys are desperate to find some kind of value in Ezekiel Elliott but the truth is he has deteriorated to the point where he is a huge albatross on this offense. You are essentially playing with 10 when he's on the field and one of those others is Prescott.

Strictly from a salary cap perspective, they're in a position to save significantly more with a paycut, rather than cutting him and taking a $10m dead money hit, saving $5m against the cap. That extra cash could be enough to bring in another solid starter.

He has value. He did rush for 800+ and 12 TDs. It's just a matter of finding a number that makes sense for everyone. With a reduced salary he wouldn't be in a position where the owners want to see more carries. At somewhere near the vet minimum (if he agrees to it), I see no problem keeping him as a short yardage, blocking back.

Yeah that would be incorrect. They'd save money drafting a mid round rookie but I'm not interested in saving money. I'm not looking for a financial reason to keep and play a player who is completely washed up. I want to upgrade and there will be multiple opportunities to do it in this draft.

Exactly!!! That's the reason we can't keep up with the Eagles and the Niners. Cap boy makes changes based on $$ and Howie Roseman and John Lynch make FOOTBALL decisions. F*** the cap. Make the team better.

Can't wait to see him falling forward and waving himself out for another year.

Please for the love no no no. We’ll probably lower his deal to what pollard will sign with Philly for
