4 of the 8 penalties on the offense were DURING PASS plays and 3 were pre-snap false starts so no way of knowing what the actual play was. In any case the worst case on those 3 plays would be that the next play would be 1st and 15.. which given how Zeke was running should still not preclude calling another run play. This notion that we automatically have to pass any time there's a penalty needs to be put to bed once and for all. I am sick of Kellen Moore to be perfectly honest and I can't get excited about this team until he's gone.

That’s always been his problem. He has no feel for the game just like JG. They don’t have an offense, just a play sheet. Moore is still 6th in passing yards all time in the NCAA. It’s no wonder he hates to run……

If they are going to stack the box, we still have to run against that every now and then to let them know we are committed. It may only get 2-3 yards but then as they start inching up that's when you hit them with that play action.

Yes sir. If they can run against it all it takes is one small hole Elliot or Pollard hits and it’s a long run. Do it a few times and back them off. This is a good chance to show they can run. We never tried to establish the run. We were never that far behind and Elliot had 2 rushed in the second half.

Yeah you can run a run play, say you get 5 now you're 2nd and 10. What you doing running again? Say you 4-5, say 3-5 or 3rd 6, now the defense looking for pass. When you get the penalty, what you're weighing is are you going to get a negative run at 1st and 15?
