Zero Turn Lawn Mower

Think it would be cool to try one of the heavy duty robotic lawn mowers...but the better ones can be really expensive.

I would need one with "Bear Avoidance"... Seriously, I mow with bear spray and an airhorn. I highly doubt that any wild animal (other than a moose) would approach a loud lawn mower.
Definitely not on my radar although I have chopped up my share of timber rattlers and a few copperheads.

On a serious note. Never go down a hill laterally with one. lol very serious risk to flip it.

You have to drive straight up or straight down hills with them.
Really depends on the slope grade. Pretty flat here but my BIL in East Tenn lives on a hillside and mows laterally over most of his yard without noticeable slippage. I will admit their (ZTR) traction is turrible. When I mow at my church property I carry my 4x4 4wheeler on my lowboy trailer in case I get stuck.

Well yes. A mild slope is ok. I don’t know the exact degree. But any decent slope I wouldn’t risk it.

I would imagine the weight distribution on them has probably gotten better over the years. This was damn near 20 years ago when I was doing landscaping with one.
