Zimmer not sure he wants to coach next year

Cowboys DC Mike Zimmer joked that “it’s been a blast” when asked if he has enjoyed this year being back in coaching. Dallas got off to a rough start, but Zimmer does not regret coaching this season.

“I’ve had fun. … But it’s been hard. I’m not gonna lie about that. It’s been hard.”

Does he like it enough that he wants to keep doing it?

“We’ll see. Let’s wait until the end of the year and see where we’re at.”

I don't think that's what he's saying. "Let's wait until the end of the year, and see where we're at." doesn't sound like someone who's waiting for someone else to make the decision.

Another DC would be a setback imo. We need continuity in coaching...especially if MM is back. We don't need to waste half a season trying to figure out a new DC and his defense imo.

It does explain why he was willing to come.here on a 1 yr deal for a lame duck coach.

Hes been coaching a good 40 years now, I could see him wanting to ease into the next phase of his life.
