Zimmer on issues with Vikings GM Spielman

As a DC and HC, Zimmer hasn't done anything either. At least Fields has some future in front of him. The only reason Zimmer even has an NFL job is Jerry is "comfortable" with him.

You are arguing a completely different point that is completely unrelated to what I posted.

Zimmer said Fields has not done anything .. and so far, he has not. Maybe that will change .. one day. As of now though, Fields is a bust until he maybe one day proves otherwise.

The point was that Florio was claiming what Zimmer said about Fields was wrong, and it's actually very accurate at this point.

Whether Zimmer is a good or bad coach is irrelevant to that fact.

What's interesting is he fired Norv Turner, his OC during the middle of the season and throws a fit when happens to him. That is him though.....he has always had issues with communication and controlling his temper. Hell, he went after Parcell once if I remember correctly.

But I read a couple of nuggets he has toned down a bit.

The right mix of coaches and players is just about lightning in a bottle. Things eventually run their course regardless of result.

I thought they had a real shot the last few years under Quinn but they desperately missed a big guy or two up the gut. I wasn’t there, but it’s safe to say either the front office wasn’t capable of seeing it, or Quinn said he could get by without it.

As far as I can tell, Newman wasn't with the team in any capacity in 2022. How on earth would he know about the environment at the time?
