Are the Cowboys about to enter a dark decade?

Jerry Jones isn't going to last another decade, and Stephen seems more susceptible to popular opinion. I think he will hire a GM.

However, the next 3-5 years are going to be uncomfortable unless the Cowboys manage to pull off a miracle draft. Considering the final decision-maker, the probability is minimal.

The Dak decade for sure, this season will be his 10th and will mark a Dark decade for sure, possibly extending 3 more years taking us to the lucky 13th... yikes!

As opposed to the last 3 glorious decades?

2000-2009 was garbage. Technically, not one single playoff win in that decade. 2009 season, we won in 2010. 13 years between playoff wins. Three straight 5-11 seasons to start that decade with god awful QBs. Blown out against Carolina. 2 more missed playoffs with aging, subpar QBs. Romo comes in and looks to change it all, but all fool's gold in the end.

With Philly on top of the division and Washington sadly on the up and up, it feels like there’s definitely an avenue where our team becomes the basement dwellers of our division! Heck who knows even NY might hit on a top draft pick and be better than us too. We’ve been relevant over the last so many years but relevant isn’t good enough! I fear this team is about to enter a dark decade and finish with 3-6 wins soon. Maybe not next year but very very soon.
Absolutely. The team that was young in 2016 is now old.

I think you mean

Are the Cowboys about to enter YET ANOTHER dark decade

The answer if course is YES
Once Prescott goes down with a career ending injury Yes. JJ trapped himself with the last contract

CD was worth his deal as he delivers and showed his desire to win even though very injured

I think shotty will keep it from being bad, I predict playoffs in 25, dont know what happens in playoffs though.
Have to see the draft and if anything is done in FA.

Diggs not worth it
Prescott not worth it
Parsons will get oft injured as a DE and not be worth it

This franchise is dead in the water for now

but... but wait... we had three straight 12 win seasons
That's true.....but ..but..but many teams have had a 12 win season since Dallas was in the NFC championship game?

Not discrediting anything this team has accomplished in McCarthy's time here. But it seems we're built to win the regular season, not the 50/50 games, or the step up and make some awesome, impossible, heart stopping plays. Plod along in mediocrity and win just enough to keep fans interested, keep the hope alive, and the owners pockets while fulfilling his dreams of tours, art in the stadium, and fuel for his yacht.
