Fans for DL

Last good DT they had was La'Roi Glover.
Who was the weird DL guy with the extra long arms?
The guy was good. Just couldn't keep his head in the game.
David Irving.

Not Glover good, but Glover was HOF All 2000s Team good.

Haley came over in the 90's while the Manster really came into his own in the 80s. Maryland was okay but defeinitely not worth a first rounder much less the top overall. Cassillas wasn't better than a D-LAw and he is up there while DLaw is not.

Seems to be nostalgia for a time you did not experience.
the Manster came into his own several years before that. He was first team ALL PRO in 1978
so your memory is clearly faulty
Cassilias was better where he played and Dlaw plays a different position

2 days later and you are still mad. You really want me to be dumb. It's hilarious.

I like how your comparison was deficient so you are going with saying no one can make a comparison too.

This team missed on defensive linemen like no other

But don’t let anyone fool you when we had Armstrong, Lawrence and Fowler our dline was nasty

It’s nasty now but in a much different way

Are you familiar with the term megalomaniac? It is a person that has an obsession and overestimation of their power.

You're tone is just angry. You've maintained this anger for days. Now I suspect you are projecting because it seems at best disproportional.

You aren't even talking about the Maryland pick, Cowboys DL or really anything but me. I would be flattered but you're anger is creepy.

I do love when those that think they are smart show how dumb they are
We both know that is not what it is about. It is not about my intelligence for you, it is about my intelligence relative to yours. This of course is the first time I have brought my intelligence up.

You are obviously mistaking the genesis of the feeling that you are feeling. Keep ranting though.

He helped win 3 Super Bowls so I say it worked out.
credit by association is about as valid as guilt by association. One of the reasons why Maryland frustrated me is that Jimmie Jones would replace him and start making plays in all those games against SF and Buffalo.

you seem to have some delusion that you are actually somebody other than just another internet warrior

The Dallas Cowboys will need to be aggressive this offseason to get back to the playoffs. The team could bring a new superstar to their defense.

While listing landing spots for Los Angeles Chargers star Joey Bosa, FanSided's Wynston Wilcox named the Cowboys. Bosa is in the final year of his contract and could be a trade candidate.

Bosa is a five-time Pro Bowler. He signed a two-year, $40 million extension in 2024 and could be looking to walk next offseason. If The Chargers are going to move on, they would be wise to deal him for a return.

Add him with Osa, Parsons, Lawrence, and add in Greenlaw into the Dallas positional group and see if the Eagles dominate all games.

According to rumors circulating on Twitter/X, LB Dre Greenlaw met with the San Francisco 49ers, and he is set to leave the team in free agency, seeking to be the top linebacker on a new defense.

DeMarvion Overshown was in the middle of a breakout season before injuring his knee. His estimated time for return is unknown, and he likely won’t be available for the start of the regular season.

Marist Liufau showed flashes of greatness as a rookie. He just needs to carry that over with more consistency in 2025.

Damone Clark hasn’t developed into the player the Cowboys hoped he’d turn into. He is solid on special teams, but hasn’t made the desired impact on defense.

Buddy Johnson is a practice squad hero who got some opportunity to play because of the injuries ahead of him on the depth chart. He is a career backup, and the Cowboys need an upgrade.

That would fill out team depth and open the draft for the future...say a top offensive Texas offensive tackle to move to right guard.

...tell Stephen to get his thumb out of his own mouth and get the future worked out now.

We traded Lockhart, Francis, a first and second round pick to draft Maryland. That makes it worse not better.

You recall all the issues and first round picks we spent later for the two Smiths at LB and CB?
People tend to nitpick on individual things that didn't pan out great and not see all the other moves that worked out. This is also a hindsight is 20/20 approach. At the time there was a lot of unknowns and Jimmy said it was a draft full of unknown and maryland was going to be great and his floor was high and he knew what he was getting and a sure thing and something he could work with.

Maryland was never spectacular but always good. You can't argue with the results as we won 3 championships with Jimmy's players.

Draft is not an exact science.
