I would like Dak to prove why he got $60 million dollars!

Booger devalues the running game. He's said the NFL is a passing league. His proof is drafting Zeke in the first round didn't produce a Super Bowl.

Booger is 30 years ahead of the rest of the league in his thinking. while other teams think pass to run or run to pass, Booger thinks pass.

When he's playing at a high level we're winning games, we may have issues with him, but he's what we have going forward. We have to get in our minds that he's going to be here for a few years at best. So let's see if this new staff can get whatever is left out of him to show us he was worthy of such an enormous contract!! Show up or shut up!! Please give your thoughts

Show us all that this is yours, and you're ready to take us to the promise land
Id be the first to tell you Dak is overpaid but this narrative that the QB takes you to the promise land is just dumb. They can make a play here or there that impacts the game but the whole youre the highest paid guy now go win it is stupid and represents someone not understanding the game.

Jalen Hurts the most recent MVP played well but that game was won up front. both sides of Philly lines dominated KC.

My thoughts are we have Dak for at least 2 more seasons. The Salary Cap went up which lessens the 60 million APY (I’m still not happy with the contract but it is what it is). So we know what helps Dak succeed. Strong offensive line and strong running game. Let’s sell out and give Dak what we know works for him for the next 2 years. Dak is going to leave/retire eventually so we have a 2-3 year window before we gut the roster and start over with a different QB. I think it’s time for Jerry and Stephen to put up or shut up. If Jerry and Stephen believe he is a 60 million dollar player then show us that by going all out yo put the best team on the field.

As far as Dak showing us he deserves 60 million, I believe if he puts up 2023 numbers and is more successful in the playoffs will do it. Even the staunchest Dak critic will bend if we get some playoff success. But that goes back to Jerry and Stephen doing their job, which I’m not banking on.
so we give him all of that and what happens if nothing changes??

That doesn't mean they can't draft his potential replacement in April.
I'm dying for them to do this, I mean why not??? This draft may not be QB heavy, but there's maybe a guy in there that could come in here and play well like Dak and romo did to get their star status with this team, we proceed to go with this young pup and Dak gets faded out!

No. Because that isn't the standard. Did they bend when Dak beat a TB team with a losing record? No.
That's not what he's saying!!!!! He's saying people who don't like Dak now will start to like him with some playoff success, I don't want fans to forget how they feel about him now, then hop on the bandwagon when he's starting to play well!! Stay one way!

He's going to have some games where he's all-world, if you're not a fan don't be a fan when he's good, keep in the back of your mind that he's going to let you down at any moment!!

No they won't. That's not what he is being paid for.

Winning playoff games isn't the standard.
You're right, it should be NO PLAYERS STANDARD, you work hard, train hard to gain stats and win some games, NO you do all of this to win a Superbowl that's the ultimate goal!!!!!

So we are now putting all are hope in sub .500 teams reaching the playoffs for Dak to face? It's not even like you could point to a team that should have actually been in the playoffs as to what he should achieve?
I wasn't really speaking to the quality of opponents, but that was the only playoff game he's ever played lights out and thus that's the type of performance I would expect at Dak's price tag in the playoffs.

No QB really rates that kind of money - but as I’ve been told repeatedly ‘it’s the market’. Dak is here for, at minimum, 2025-26. So let’s move on from that fact. Get the best 44 around him and takethe onus/focus off #4. Dak won’t carry the team so let the team carry Dak. If Trent Dilfer can get a ring Dak damn-sure can. I hate Dak’s contract but he is levels of magnitude above Trent Dilfer.
I am with you on everything you said. The issue people have is, when he looks bad or is the issue in winning, his gang of apologists claim its everything but him.

Jerry has already established that he's willing to pay Dak what he has, regardless of whether he proves it or not.

Unfortunately, that impetus must come from JJ. Of course, it remains to be seen if he'll do it again in four years.

Have someone take a sledgehammer to your ankle and break it into a compound fracture. After you heal have somebody rip your hamstring off off the bone. Now go rehab and get ready to be thrown back into the meat grinder.

There’s nothing to prove. It’s pretty simple. Jerry had a choice, give him the bag or let him walk in free agency. Because Jerry had gone cheap and never drafted a young QB nor signed a veteran backup with starter ability, there really was no choice.

Dak would probably be our franchise QB for around 35-40 million per year if Jerry had extended him before his rookie contract expired and again before his recent contract expired. Using the franchise tag on a guy twice is the kiss of death and should mean you will move on to another QB. When you use the franchise tag for any reason other than to extend negotiations for a couple of months, you are setting yourself up to pay ridiculous money to a player.

Fans want to blame Dak, but Dak never held out for huge money; he never skipped camp, never cleaned his social media, never threatened to leave, never requested a trade, never did anything players do in tough negotiations. He simply went to work and waited for Jerry to make an offer, but Jerry slow played himself and franchise tagged himself in a corner again and again. Like his actual play or not, it is silly to hate on Dak for something Jerry created with his poor planning and execution.

This is a silly thread. That's like asking you why you deserve to get paid at your job. Especially since you live here, you really can't be putting much effort into working. Instead of being focused on Dak, you should be focused on the guy that paid him.

so silly that you spent silly time in it???

The Dak handringing is always short sighted to me...Like Dak dont like Dak really doesnt matter...the QB (along with all the other positions) is DOA until this FO changes its ways...no player has a worse playoff record than this FO the last 30 years...

I'd like to see some guys prove why they are starters, and some prove why they are on an NFL roster. Think we'd be onto something, since this seems about accountability.
