I'll be honest. If I were Parsons, I might just take my 5th year option money and parachute out after his contract is over. He'll get paid a ton in FA and he can likely even take a bit less to go play for a winner if he chooses.

Yea but chances are, Jerry will tag him at least twice. That's 3 years of $35-40M contract money lost. But I honestly think he can force his way out by asking for a trade. Jerry has always said he never wants anyone on the team who doesn't want to be here.

It doesn't look like they are interested in trading him. I would think they would sign him to get the cap space before free agency starts. That's what it looks like Parsons is pushing for. It's interesting that Parsons is so vocal about it and wants to do it to try and win in Dallas. They need to try and do it now while Parsons is in his prime. It's now or never.

He has been playing very well. The team is much better with him in the lineup. We are lucky to have him and it's good to see him putting pressure on the front office.
