Whether you like Dak or not

His contract has never been the albatross that the Joneses made it out to be. We need to keep the pressure on the real source of the problem, the Joneses.

If Daks 60 Million isn't an albatross to the salary, let's just pay every player a top salary, lol......this ain't USAID where there's limitless funds....it has to matter at some point no matter how much you kick the debt down the road

Dak's rookie year contract was probably the best value in the league.

Since then, Jerry has kept pushing Dak's money into the future. Last year, taking the biggest hit against the cap in dollars and percentage of the cap Jerry has ever taken against Dak, he still pushed tens of millions of dead cap into the future. He was still paying Dak on the cap credit card.

Now that flips, and not only are we not financing Dak's current league high salary with credit, we're scheduled to start paying down the cap credit card bills we rang up in previous seasons.

24 45 mil
The future
25 89
26 67
27 62
28 34 mil in dead money if Dak is gone

Averaging over 75mil over the next 3 years, *30mil more* than the most Jerry has ever paid against Dak, still leaving a 34mil overhang for the *next* QB's team that follows Dak.

It's 30mil *worse* every year than it has been, and that's with Dak coming off his worst season ever that concluded with a season ending injury.

Most haven't realized it yet, but we've already lived through the Golden Years of the Dak Era.
The Years of Tears have arrived.

As long as Dak is the QB the Joneses get a pass from me.

Dak is a loser.

Jerry is a better GM than Dak is a QB.

However, they both suck, Dak just sucks more.
Oh com'onnnnnn. Jerry is a bottom 5 GM. Dak is a middle of the pack QB, somewhere in the 8-15 range. That is not even close.

Ya know, now that you put all that money in a list, I have to ask; Why in the world should anyone - not just Dak, but especially Dak - get that much money, for being just "okay" at his job?
you just described a question that should be asked from 15 of the top 18 highest paid QBs in the league. and about 40 of the top 60 players overall in the NFL.

its the market. its the league.

Jalen Hurts cap hits after signing his 5 years 250 million dollar contract:

2023 6.1 million
2024 13.5 million
2025 21.8 million

GMs that care about winning NOW instead of planning for the 2030 season don't care about pushing money down the road because they're trying to get the most talent on the team today. Fans shouldn't care either, if we were so good at looking, worrying and planning for the future then in 2020 we should have had the best plan in the NFL for the 2024 season.

The can has already been kicked down the road.
Yep. So why bother kicking it further down the road? What people who support this concept seem to forget that beyond the dollar value is the time. There is nothing more valuable than time. The more time dedicated trying to create a winner around Dak is further trading your future trying to justify an already awful decision. It's the same idea that has held this franchise back for 30 years - holding on to aging talent to the detriment of the franchise. We saw it with Tyron Smith, we saw it with Zeke and now we are going to see it with Dak.

I value championships more than your personal rankings.
Absolutely!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And Jerry is by far the biggest detriment to super bowl contention. Everything else is a distant 2nd. He is absolutely awful. Are you aware that Jerry refuses to do any GM work? Doesn't watch tape or read scouting reports. Everything is from the hip w/ him. He just guesses. He falls for every rumor, every fake scouting report, everything. Brandon Carr was a #2 type corner. Mo didn't have the skillset to be a #1 CB. Roy Williams was primarily a slant running WR and Romo was terrible at it. Mazi has stiff hips. Escobar was very slow and was never going to get open at the NFL level.

Miss after miss after miss. Tried to take a 3 tech(Cedric Thornton) and play him at 1 tech. No, it's not the same thing. He tried the same thing w/ Marcus Spears. Jerry doesn't even understand leverage for a DT, doesn't even understand how build plays a part.

Jerry doesn't understand Football 101. He's way worse than Dak, and it's not close.

Say what you want.

Jerry has more rings than Dak has playoff wins.

They both can suck, but Dak is worse.

I'd rather win a SB now and stink in 8 years. So be it.

I was lucky to see all 3 90's championships. The feeling at that time was euphoric. If someone told the teenage/20 yr old me that I can have a SB for every 10 years of never seeing even an NFC Championship game...I would have said, give me 3 please. Maybe throw in the 1994 season as well.

Maybe that's just me.

I know many that are....in all kinds of jobs.

Dak is really just the current personification of a bad decision by Jerry. Like Garrett, like Campo, like dedicating a draft to just special teams, like never bothering to improve the defense when you had a talent like Demarcus Ware. Not bothering to give Romo a proper run game and actually make an effort to improve the offensive line. Lazy General Manager-ing is what we have.

Why did you not bother to show it all? Don't blame your little hidden agenda on others.
You blaming me because you can't hit a tab that says "show more"? Are you in grade school, because that's the only acceptable excuse.
