Which rookies are going to take the biggest leap going into Year 2?

It helps with the best front 7 in the league. But agree, both are really good
Yep.....so we're back to good GM work and good player evaluation. We're waiting in year 3 for Mazi to begin to create havoc and others (Schoomaker/Carson just to group with Mazi)

First thing I thought was Beebee, guy who never played Center before - at College or Pros.
Year 2 should be much better, and he wasn't bad last year.
Guyton is the one we need to improve the most tho !
Yeah that's the thing I think maybe you guys are missing the actual meaning behind biggest leap meaning they have more space to go bigger guy like baby isn't going to be a big leap because he's already there he showed he was a great pro as a rookie and yes he will improve a lot over the next couple of years but his gap is not as big because he played so well as a rookie that's why you got to pick the dark horse the one that the light will come on late and it has a much larger gap to overcome that you can say took a leap...

would have to be Guyton out of the obvious. the New Offensive staff seemingly all great ex-Line types with the trenches in mind could be what TG needs!!

Was Bulter a true Rookie last year, Im adding him his injury shut him down, but he could be a surprise star in the making.

Man, I'm so absolutely demoralized. It was hard to wrap my head around the thread. The idea of players on our team getting better just seems so far away.
Why even bother popping in and making a post if you have nothing to say but negativity? if you can't see it then . I can't help you..

the fact that we were ravaged by injuries and had to play a lot of undrafted free agents and rookies last year there were a lot of bright spots.. I know it was hard to see but if you can't see it nobody can help you, you're demoralized because of you, not because of the team,

why don't you read some of the posts some of us are posting facts...

And now with a new coaching staff in here and I believe the staff itself is going to help some of these players it's a different philosophy especially on offense look at the offensive line and the offensive coordinator and the people he brought in below him they all seem as positional coaches a little bit more passionate energetic and fact that they're gearing in on the run game..

possibly, it's going to help a lot of these rookies especially the lineman...

And to add to that, my hope is with the new coaches - none of our WR have blossomed over the last few years, for whatever reason.
Now we shall see what a different coaching staff can do !
From Tolbert to Mingo. Flounoy (sp) even Turpin. And whoever we bring in thru the draft, can the staff unlock some of these guys to actually fulfill their promise ?

They can't throw the ball to them selves. Each one has produced when targeted.

Keep in mind, it's clear we will be moving to more of a run first offense next year. So when our WR's don't put up eye popping numbers that doesn't mean they aren't doing their jobs.

A good subject.

There seems to be a lot of potential there.

I think the first five all improve absent extended injury (an unfortunate reality).

I'm thinking it is Liufau that has the breakout. I think he will be the "Overshown" of 2025. He will probably have more opportunity to shine as a playmaker.

I think both Guyton and Beebe will improve to the point of serviceable but not special. I don't think Guyton is the next Tyron Smith.

I think Caelon Carson will improve and provide depth that the Cowboys will need.

If Flournoy was to actually have a 50-reception season comparable to Tolbert in 2024 then I would have to include him as a potential "most improved".
Beebe was already dammm good. What are you seeing to make you think he won't be really good? That's where the signs are pointing.

The reason they haven't: Lack of burst/lateral agility. You cannot train in a physical skillset. If a player lacks a physical trait, you cannot train him to have it.

Kneeland and Carson for me. Guyton and Liufau were hard not to choose.

Guyton is easy. Any improvement is huge. Liufu will get the reps because Overshown won’t plsy early so good opportunity. Kneeland will get reps because Dlaw probably gone. Reps are the key

For a guy who had never snapped a football or played center he did good. I was seriously concerned about his snaps. A full off season to get stronger and he could be a really good player. The fact we seen virtually no bad snaps tells me he puts in the work and that’s what makes great players

Beebe is a beast already. Not sure he can get much stronger.

He is but he can get stronger. These guy have nothing to do but train with great trainers. He has the potential to be really good. What he did this year considering he’d never played the position was amazing and it’s a tough position with lots of reads while snapping the ball

The elephant in the room: it better be Guyton. He needs to get his head on straight and spend as much time with Duke Manyweather in the off season as possible. Still I question his love of the game.

I think his upside is best C in the game.

Beebe put up 20 reps on bench press at the Combine. I agree with you guys that Cooper could get noticeably stronger this offseason. It's encouraging how Beebe handled the toughest/best division of DTs in football even without a offseason of strengthening.

Question for the anybody: How do you see Beebe performing at C in this new run scheme where he'll be required to pull and get blocks out in space a few times a games?

CooperBB is only going to getter better.

All-Conf/All-American in NCAA

He will be ok.

He was top G in NCAA.

All American.

Beebee is a plodder so getting to the second level will be a challenge for him. He likes to play in a phone booth where his strong hands and solid base helps him. Not what I would call a move center. He is a decent enough athlete that he’ll get by but getting out in front of runs is never going to be his strong suit,

Probably Jayden Daniels.
You know only in here will an alleged Cowboys fan and I use that term loosely 'cause I don't think you are would say that you have to come in here and bring up a Washington name a hated rival and **** on what could be just a nice calm thread but hey let's just go ahead and expand on that maybe Jayden Daniel can actually beat the Cowboys this year he literally lost the first game to a bunch of backups he was losing the second game look like a deer in the headlights got pulled from Marcus Mariota who actually went out and played quarterback better and won that game against even more Dallas cowboy backups..

Pretty sad that this rookie of the year type couldn't even beat a bunch of backups Yep that's how the Cowboys own the east when they're healthy but in this case he couldn't even beat the backups that's pretty sad... Right now I'd say he's overrated and I know he played OK in the playoffs and he looked pretty good in the championship game but you know what I've seen lake bortles and Mark Sanchez playing lose championship games it's nothing special... So yeah I'm gonna stick with that you wanna bring up a Washington player let's bring up the fact that Dan Quinn's team got exposed the defense looked bad and his quarterback couldn't even beat a Cowboys backup team at home when they were really wanting some revenge for Dan Quinn and the Traitor players and coaches who went there..

I couldn't be happier when they lost that NFC championship game that way got embarrassed.... So yes he's gonna need to make a leap he's gonna actually have to look good against the Cowboys starters....

There's no elephant in the room we're literally talking cleanly about specific players and who could make a bigger leap from the rookie years it's not supposed to be a knock on a player is supposed to be who do you believe could make the biggest improvement from their rookie year to this year and he could be that guy with a better offensive staff I believe that are going to be really focusing on the offensive line the trenches the scheme putting the best 5 on the field like in training camp not eight games into the season I mean our run game looked better at the end of the year because the line played more cohesively and he just never caught up but he can be the guy to make the biggest leap there's no elephant we're talking about it plainly.

I for one saw the positives in this guy I think he still has the raw talent and it can be developed playing left tackle is one of the hardest transitions especially if you've never played it and he's going to need help but I don't think he's a lost because I don't think he's a bust at all he's got so much going for him athletically and I saw him play well again MG, I mean he has some upside he just got his own hit and that does happen as a rookie he got swallowed up by the moment..
