Weird things you've pondered

Never heard of anyone rushing out to buy milk before a storm. Water yes but milk?
Water no. Spigot' always functional. Milk however is essential, especially for little ones.

If a tree falls in the woods, does it make a sound? Or does it just give off sound waves that nothing is around to receive, therefor does not make a sound?

Given what sound is, there is no need for an observer. It simply is.

If a tree falls in space, how long does it take the idiot without the space suit to die of asphyxiation trying to hear the tree fall?

Why is it sooooo...much more fun to find a 20 dollar bill in a pair of pants that has been washed than it is to find 20 dollars in a wallet you didn't know you had?

Nah, it's the same amount of fun, whether it's my pants, my wallet, someone else's wallet, or in a fake coffee can safe on @Runwildboys kitchen cabinet.

Why is it that when you find something you've misplaced and are looking for it, it is always in the last place you look?

And why can't you remember when you are looking for that item and find something else, why didn't you look here for it? You lie to yourself and say "I looked everywhere". Obviously, you didn't. And if you really looked everywhere for something you'd misplaced, how long would that take?

The crispness of it shows you it was meant to be, you're right though, that makes your day.

Why is it called a Touchdown?
Do they really need laces on the ball?
it's called a "Touchdown" because you've reached the line to gain to score points. You have touched it or passed it. The other is determined on aerodynamics' needed to toss the ball from point A to point B . If it matters then yes, they are super important. If not, blame it on generations past.

So "Touchdown" is short for "No need to Touchdown"?

This is the one I want to discuss.. How does, and I"m going to wreck the spelling. Deja vu work? I'm not talented enough to put all the ' over the E

I've been there several times in my life, Where what was going on has already happened, and i'm re-living it. Sheeeeeeesh!

Starting to come around on the simulation hypothesis. George Hotz is starting a church.

The ultimate question ever ask on this forum. What is a Soul? Is it figurative or real? Not religious , just perspective.

Theoretically, it's an echo of sorts in your brain.
I don't subscribe to the theory, because I've been there a few times, and knew what was going to happen in the next few seconds after the deja vu passed.

Well, scientists and researchers have been saying our brains are basically quantum computers. If that is true and time is fairly meaningless in the quantum realm, then maybe it's possible for your brain to pick up signals from itself on rare occasion, which would trigger a sense of deja vu and knowing what was going to happen next.

That's just my theory as to how it might work. I don't know, obviously.

I always thought the theory about Deja Vu and dreams made the most sense to me. Basically, you dream every night even if you don't remember. So say you crossed a street and saw a red car in a dream but you don't remember the dream. Well, the image is still tucked away in your mind somewhere. Then in real life you're crossing a street and you see a red car.. well this triggers Deja Vu. This all seems familiar to you but you can't recall why. It's because something similar happened in a dream that you don't remember.
