Facilities, talent, willingness to spend, coaching staff, geo location; there are a lot of things that one would consider before signing a multi year deal with a professional sports franchise. For me, making $30M/Year in Los Angeles would be a hell of a lot more appealing than $35M/Year in Buffalo.

This is how it works. The team starts low, the player starts high, they both push towards the middle while trying to keep as much as possible for themselves.

If I'm Dak, there's no downside to waiting. I want to see how the free agent market for QBs looks, and I want to see what the new CBA looks like now. Sign in haste, repent in leisure - the CBA's going to last 10 years, and I'm not going to ignore it just to sign a deal with Jerry a few weeks sooner.

If I'm Dallas, I know what Dak's strategy is and that's cool - I just tag him and probably go on hold with his camp until after the draft. But that puts a lot more pressure on me to get negotiations going with Cooper.

NO ITS NOT GOOD ENOUGH. Goff and wentz are getting $34m a year and made almost $15m more just from their initial 1st round contracts compared to what dak has been paid. Dak's numbers are better than Wentz's and Goff's. Why should he take less money? It's not Dak's fault this team had terrible contracts in Romo and Dez that they had to eat so they couldn't sign any big free agents to make the team better on his rookie cheap labor deal.

I think this is just the opening offer. I thoroughly feel Dak will just bare surpass Russel Wilson when it's all said and done.

A lot of people already see the disparity in the haves and have nots. A lot more are waking up to it. Contractors will often take less in the winter to have a job rather than insist on top dollar and not have work for their employees.

Its not stupidity. Its common sense. I'm for getting all you can. I'm also for getting what you're worth. But when you insist on more, its greed defined as intense and selfish desire for something, especially wealth, power, or food.

I'm not the biggest Dak believer/supporter but I'm on his side now. If I were him, I'd be insulted to get an offer less than Jared Goff. He got $33.5 AAV and $110 guaranteed. Just offer him $34 AAV and $115 guaranteed.

Dak plays offense genius and when facing decent teams Dak sucked. He couldn't do anything to lead the team to victory in spite of having a fully healthy, talented offense.

ALL LOSSES so how is that the defenses fault?????? If Dak is so due as you say then he couldn't figure a way to lead the team to any victory in those games???? That is 4 losses by a combined point difference of 25 points, or 6 points a game average. Had he been such the 'due' QB that you say he is worth he would have led Dallas to victories in those games.
