I don't get that at all. If they've offered him $33-$34 million a year - doesn't sound like they are treating him too bad.
Shouldn't he be getting more?

I disagree. You’d be okay with taking 2 of NE’s bottom first round picks and not having a QB for years?
Well, pretty much writing on the wall unfortunately. I would have preferred to see the team tag him with a none exclusive tag but whatever.
This was regarding Cooper my man.
maybe because he’s not viewed as a franchise QB by a lot of people.....including the Jones apparently....
With the new CBA he cant do that because he will be fined everyday and the teams cant ignore the fine or pay it for the players. It's now on the player completely to pay.Could be wrong, but I suspect this means Dak sits out the OTA's and, possibly, TC.
What does the start of FA have to do with it? Dak isn't going anywhere, he's been tagged. They can only use one tag.If Dak is not signed by the time FA starts, does this hurt the team, does it hold up negotiations on other FA's?
I know they really have until Wednesday if some team comes along and makes offers to Cooper, Quinn, others, but does this trickle down and effect other negotiations?
Wait... becuase they placed a "FRACHISE" tag on him this is proof he isnt viewed as a franchise player?maybe because he’s not viewed as a franchise QB by a lot of people.....including the Jones apparently....
It's embarrassing that people in here legitimately think the exclusive vs non exclusive tag argument for dak comes down to another team giving up 2 firsts for him...get a clue people
what if dak refuses to sign the tag? Can he do that?
One can only hope! Sorry, I’ve soured on AmariTick tock on Amari. All it takes is a desperate team to throw 20aav with big guaranteed money included and he's gone.
We will not win with him at qb, that's a given nowAll signs point to Dak winning this negotiation and the Cowboys suffering for many years because of it.
