You can sit here and talk about some great tactical move the team has made.Writing anything definitive on the second day of free agency is considered freaking out. At this same time last year the only moves we had were losing Beasley and Damien Wilson. Then we signed Cobb and Quinn later on, all four of those were the correct moves.
Letting Witten & Heath go are no brainers, I could hire my 8 year old to make those moves.
Strategically this front office has no vision. Are we trying to win a SB this year? I dont have the exact quote, but Bill Walsh said this years ago.. You are really only competing with 5-6 teams who are trying to win a SB. Other teams have different agendas, whether is more revenue, higher ticket sales, dealing with dead cap, only paying salaries to the minimum level.
Jerry should be obsessed with winning and he is not as it is human nature. If he had no rings he would be eating, sleeping, drinking with one goal in mind. His thought process is to not turn over the apple cart and keep milking the cash cow. The media and fans love the controversy.
Cowboys being 8-8 to a maximum of 10 wins is the sweet spot. Skip & Shannon, ESPN first take, Fox, CBS, etc.. As long as the Cowboys are good enough Jerry is happy. He will never let this team bottom out, and he does not want to put in the work to compete. He is happy being mediocre. Just like in all phases of the world, his incentive is his driver. I just wish all Cowboy fans saw this and donned the brown paper bags.
Think about the last dramatic thing Jerry did. When the Cowboys lost to the Houston Texans in their first ever professional game.. Bill Parcells felt sorry for him and became the HC.
We have no hope until we go 3-13 or somehow luck box our way to a SB.
