Must of hit a sore spot, but that was no reason to make up the Beasley statement. He was the only person to throw to in Buffalo. Cobb left due to money, and he will be the go to receiver with the Texans.
Brown's 1,000 yard season doesn't count?

Seems to me they want to go all defence in the draft. Cobb leaving threw a wrench in to those plans. I would still go defense first 3 picks and grab a receiver that slides to the 4th. But Griffen is a key to all that. My hope is that we plan on going CB S DT early. I don't want to have to reach for DE early.

I also was hoping for TE in there somewhere. Our O has been screaming for a playmaker there. I think Jarwin can be a great 2nd TE. Not sure his game can improve enough to be a difference maker.

But I think we all know that this defence needs more than one off season to be fixed. So in order to compete, our offence needs to be in the top 3 in scoring, not just yards.

Never said it did not count. Brown, being the number one receiver, only had five more catches than Beasley. His 1,000 yard season means that he stretched the field more. Beasley, was the go to receiver in Buffalo.

No doubt that he didn't want to play with Prescott.

Smart

Who would choose to play with Dak over Drew Brees?

Let's see .... let's do the Math for Emmanuel Sanders

Packers WR Depth Chart:
Devante Adams (1) Allen Lazard (2) Equanimeous St. Brown (3)

Aaron Jones RB, Aaron Rodgers QB, Payton HC & 30th overall pick

Saints WR Depth Chart:
Michael Thomas (1) Ted Gin Jr (2) Emmanuel Sanders (3)

Alvin Kamara Rb, Drew Brees QB, Matt LeFleur HC and 24th Overall pick

Cowboys Depth Chart:
Amari Cooper (1) Michael Gallup (2) and ???? (3)

Zeke Elliot Rb, Dak Prescott QB, Mike McCarthy HC & 17th overall pick

Yep..Sanders definitely chose Brees over Dak..

Very good player and great fit for the Saints. I'm surprised how well Sanders rebounded from that torn achilles he had with Denver.

No doubt about that. Pretty incredible that a player his age was able to recover from that injury.

One of your worst posts.

Cooper was getting paid regardless because a 1st round pick was used to attain him..

Beasley performed better with Josh Friggin Allen as his QB over the bum here

Cobb...Bill O’Brien is all I have to say

Try again simpleton

Beasley actually performed better in 2006 when “the bum here” was a rookie. In any case, you aren’t talking apples to apples anyway. Beasley wasn’t one of the top 2 receivers in Dallas. He played in 3 WR sets. In Buffalo he was relied on more, and even then he only had a small boost in yardage (and a decrease in catch %).

Saints going all in again to try to win with Brees. I don’t blame them. But I also don’t know how teams like the Saints and Eagles just have a non existent cap
Everyone has the same cap, there is no cap problem. Cowboys just don’t want to win the same way other teams do. Jerry has 3 SB’s he doesn’t care. As long as we are not terrible.

It's going to have to be the draft. Early.

Assuming there are no significant(starter level) additions made in free agency, the first three picks in any order will very likely be EDGE/CB/WR. Fortunately you can find an immediate contributor at WR as late as the 3rd round of this draft. Probably wont finish with 800+ yds as Cobb did last year but that's ok.

Randall Cobb had his choice of quarterback and chose Dak. You never know. It made Cobb 30 million......
Cobb was not some top five WR before he chose to come to Dallas. His options was limited because some teams didn’t want him, so saying that he chose Dak over any of the other QBs in the league is a reach to say the least. Cobb wants to go with an accurate QB this time. His value is higher after catching all of those inaccurate passes from Dak and teams are starting to take notice that Dallas WRs have to be very good to catch Dak’s passes.

It's like they are literally terrified of getting burned in free agency. I understand not relying heavily on high priced free agents, but there is nothing wrong with taking some chances in that area of roster building. Maybe they are too concerned trying to emulate New England. They totally have cap space to use this season and in future years but once again are choosing not to use it. There are no young studs on the horizon waiting to get re-signed outside of maybe Gallup, but its not like you have several extensions to worry about. That excuse wont fly any longer.
