I do realize that and that's where Dak is getting all his yards against the Packers.

So those the first 3 quarters when receivers dropped balls or Elliott fails to get yards or the defense doesn't get any 3 and outs those are all Prescott's fault? Herer's another little thing to think about. When defenses start their prevent defenses the completions are usually short passes playing in front of the defenders so why in some of those games late did Prescott's average per attempt go up and not down?

This is another dumb post.....of course buffered by another Dak Hater myth...Fake stats.

So then your reasoning is that every time a QB fails to bring their team back for a Win when trailing in the 4th those stats in the comeback effort are considered "Fake Stats"?

You guys are clueless,...

So now you use the Packer 10/6/19 game as an example

@Hadenough Did the Fake Stats kick in before of after:

1. the defense gave up 14 pts in 1st Qtr?

2. Amari tipped a pass in his hands for an INT to J. Alexander..the pass was not behind because Packers No.26 split hash pre snap and Dak could not lead Dak into that Dig route...Dak placed ball on hash away from No.26 Safety...Amari beat J. Alexander but dropped pass....

3. Or maybe the fake stats kicked after Dalton Schultz had 2 penalties in the 2nd series and the Oline gave up a sack to Zack Smith

Do you see the theme? The entire team contributed to falling behind Packers yet when Dak and team attempts to come back Dak Hater's label the stats Fake:lmao2:

Truth hurts! Dak ain't nothing special! Yep we dont have to look at just the Packers game we can look at the Jets, Bills, Bears, even a couple games where the defense showed up and the Cowboys couldnt score a TD.

Daks passing is all over the place. He can never consistently put the ball where it's supposed to be. Those late game stats was Cooper getting free when they were playing zone.

And the most important game of the season vs the Eagles. Win and you are in against a defense hanging on from the opening kick off...25/44 with zero touchdowns.

Some people say Dak was hurt but he sure played fine against the Commanders and if he was really that bad then he gets blamed for continuing to try and play.

Agree on both counts. I remember before the Eagles game that the commentators mentioned that he looked fine throwing before the game. As you state, if it was that bad then don't be a dummy and play against a depleted team plus he looked a million dollars just a week later albeit versus a poor team.

If Dak get's a new contract which pays him like the Top QB's then he won't be given too much margin for error with the fans.
Being a 4th round pick and his ability to right the ship has endured him to the fans. But, now that he will be paid like the top QB's he will be expected to play like one and things that may have been forgiven by fans before won't any more.
It's not that he's overpaid that upsets people, it's the fact that him taking up more and more of the cap space prevents the team from retaining players due to the restraints implemented by the cap.
He will be expected to show that he can carry the team and be the main cog that elevates the team/players to the upper level.
He needs to show that the players he has around him is irrelevant up to a certain point and be able to perform even when he isn't surrounded by top notch players.
Right now he has Zeke, Cooper, and Gallop that are excellent players and help mask a lot of his deficiencies in a lot of instances.
Now, he will be expected to perform even if/when those players go out due to injury.

I'm sure Dak will be weeping all the way to the bank.

It's the job of the coaches to evaluate player performance and put the best available on the field.

Should Dak have refused to play even if the coaches wanted him to?

Well that would suggest that his supposed injury was fine. So he just played poorly.

Ok...fair point @Hadenough so how about games where the Offense scored (showed up) and defense (didn't)couldnt stop the opposing team?

Do those games exist?

Does that automatically mean Dak carried the team?

When has Dak ever had the benefit of the doubt from fans? He didn't have it last year at 500k a year so why should he care?

Yeah but Aaron Rodgers and Drew Bree's haven't always strived and they were the highest paid and were allowed to have excuses.....
They both won Super bowls. Plus they are elite QBs. Dak is not.

Right. So if elite quarterbacks with Super Bowls have years where they struggle why would Dak be an exception?
Body of work. With Brees and Rodgers, you can give them the benefit of the doubt, because they are elite QBs. They have a body of work(SB winners). Dak does not. Dak is a good NFL QB. There's nothing wrong with that.

The extremely rare times that a ball touched an OFFENSIVE lineman's hands first may have affected the QB's completion percentage by a tenth of a point which in the grand scheme of things isn't going to make any real difference. The number of tips balls at the line of scrimmage that end up getting picked are far more harmful. Bad try.
.

The whole point was to prove that completion percentage could be changed by rule changes, which you have accepted. Although I could make up more rules it isn't really needed.

That logic makes no sense to me but whatever. I guess Eli Manning deserves the same benefit of the doubt?

C'mon Royce, you're smarter than this.

As you said, "the best teams win". That is correct. So, how do you build the best team? As much talent as possible. And what do huge contracts keep you from doing? Building the best team. This is ABC stuff.

It doesn't get any easier to understand than that.
