This is about as wrong as you can get. Just one question, did you watch the NFL 30 years ago?

I've been a Cowboys fan since their very first day, Jan.28, 1960. The style of football that was played in ANY era has ZERO to do with a QB accuracy. If in ANY era a QB has a completion percentage of 52.9 that means that 47.1% of the time he didn't complete a pass. If in ANY era a QB has a completion percentage of 67.7 that means he didn't complete only 32.3% of his passes. Which QB was more accurate? This so obvious that even a 3rd grader can see it. People that want to put style of the game or different rules as reasons for accuracy are just making excuses to try and change simple math. If a QB is accurate he'll complete more passes and have a higher completion percentage, if he's not accurate then his completion percentage will be lower. It's just that simple.

Classic Dak game was the Packers game last year. 140 yes passing through 3 quarters and down 30 to 3 and then Packers shut down to prevent and Dak throws for 200 yes and couple TDs and runs for one.
Stats show 340 yes passing and 3 tds and these freaking idiots think Prescott wasn't the problem.
All they see are the #s! I honestly believe they don’t know any better. I know our ST was awful and the D wasn’t very good but anyone that knows anything about the QB position at the NFL level can not look at Dak and say he’s nothing but AVERAGE! Period!

I see, so then you really have not excuse, other then the fact that you are simply throw you know what against the wall to see who you can piss off by saying such things.

OK, as long as we both know what's going on.

Completion percentage ≠ accuracy though. A qb can throw a ball accurately but it not be caught by the receiver. Obviously the math for completion percentage doesn't change, but the conclusions to draw from it can change. Take the nba for instance. If they put the 3 point line closer, 3 point field goal percentages would rise across the league. However that doesn't mean everyone became better shooters. The rule change was responsible for the percentage change.

You do know that there have been a lot of coaches and players that have said the prevent defense all to often just prevents that team from winning because the other team can move the ball easily. Here's a couple of examples for that. During Romo's time the Cowboys had more 4th quarter come from behind wins because of teams in prevent defense. Now on the other side of it the Cowboys during that same time also gave up more 4th quarter leads than any other team just from playing prevent defenses.

I'm not trying to piss of anyone. I'm sorry if some can not see how simple math defines the accuracy of a QB. Now there is a long formula to figure a QB rating which takes into account more than just completions, but the higher the completion percentage is the more accurate a QB is and the lower it is shows how accurate he is not. Again I'm sorry if that is hard for you to figure out and it offends you.

Look it is so very simple. Either the receiver catches the ball or he does not. Regardless what rules have changed as far as what constitutes a catch or what a defender can do it still boils down to either the receiver catches the ball or not. The higher the completion percentage is means that REGARDLESS of ANY rule changes the QB was accurate enough to get more passes competed. If the completion percentage is lower that means he was not as accurate in getting the ball so a receiver could catch it. Eras and rule changes have ZERO to do with completion percentage which it shows the accuracy of a QB to get the ball so a receiver can catch it. Unfortunately for QB's dropped passes still count as incomplete passes for completion percentage. That's not fair but neither is it fair for a tipped ball at the line of scrimmage that gets picked off to count as a pick against the QB but it does.

As well as the Dak homers using his garbage time fantasy stats to prop him up.
Dak Hater's Universe Law of We are always correct

In 2017 and 2018 before Amari arrived Dak was criticized by Dak Hater's for not being able to pass for 200 yards per game.....now it is fantasy Stats...

Hey Dak Hater .......Bye Felicia

fantastic example. Many of his games are like this . Fans looking at his stats are just escaping the painful realities of these lost games. Heck , some of these meltdown games were over by half time . Great QBs don't fail their teams this oftern. Dak is 1-6 against decent teams. and lost to the Jets and bears to boot.

I do realize that and that's where Dak is getting all his yards against the Packers.

Good to note that some people actually watched the games last season!

Completely agree.

Your right! Many of his games were out of hand by the 3rd quarter and then Dak suddenly appears in the 4th to salvage that big stat of yards passing.

BS. Wins and losses are a team stat. Neither should be attributed to one player.

Unless you're spinning a narrative.

This is another dumb post.....of course buffered by another Dak Hater myth...Fake stats.

So then your reasoning is that every time a QB fails to bring their team back for a Win when trailing in the 4th those stats in the comeback effort are considered "Fake Stats"?

You guys are clueless,...

So now you use the Packer 10/6/19 game as an example

@Hadenough Did the Fake Stats kick in before of after:

1. the defense gave up 14 pts in 1st Qtr?

2. Amari tipped a pass in his hands for an INT to J. Alexander..the pass was not behind because Packers No.26 split hash pre snap and Dak could not lead Dak into that Dig route...Dak placed ball on hash away from No.26 Safety...Amari beat J. Alexander but dropped pass....

3. Or maybe the fake stats kicked after Dalton Schultz had 2 penalties in the 2nd series and the Oline gave up a sack to Zack Smith

Do you see the theme? The entire team contributed to falling behind Packers yet when Dak and team attempts to come back Dak Hater's label the stats Fake:lmao2:

exactly . against green bay Dak failed to score for the entire half . Ended the game with 3 interceptions , and some delusional fans think he had a great game.

So it is Dak's fault we fell behind 17 points in 1st Half?

Of course Dak has some blame but saying "Dak" and "Not the offense" failed to score reveals your agenda.....

that is another instance of a rule change that could effect completion percentage. If passes tipped at the line no longer counted as incompletions then completion percentage would go up.

The extremely rare times that a ball touched an OFFENSIVE lineman's hands first may have affected the QB's completion percentage by a tenth of a point which in the grand scheme of things isn't going to make any real difference. The number of tips balls at the line of scrimmage that end up getting picked are far more harmful. Bad try.
