Things do happen and you're right.Last season the juju was just bad. Yes, there was a lame duck coaching vibe. Though the organization did put together a stacked roster. Zeke’s holdout, I think, was unexpected and was a distraction in camp as much as they didn’t want it to be. LVE took a ste back and then took a seat. That hurt. Things just sort of broke bad after week four, and then there wasn’t that energy there when they needed it. It was just a sucky season overall, especially when we had a really good roster from top to bottom.
That was when I started keening into what is the FO going to do now?
Not much. And then the kicker started failing like cray.
And then the punter was falling off a cliff.
The Special Teams was anything, but special: putting this offense in hole after hole and there were solutions out there.
Maybe not great solutions, but alternatives to a glaring problem and they just did not want to do anything until Garrett forced things and by then it was too late.
That unit alone was costing games and nothing was being done to fix it.
Remember that point in the season when Jason said they wanted to look into kickers and Stephen said No they weren't and then a few days later they brought in kickers?
Weird situation that was completely needless to happen. Everyone and their cat knew there were kicking problems and Stevie says no?
And then peeps are brought in a day, or two later?
That's FO sabotage.
Or even worse... FO complete ineptitude.
