60% of local fans were idiotic.Yea. I think even some of his ardent supporters realized it was time to make a change even if they didn’t hold Jason totally responsible .
Jason was one of the more popular Head Coaches for a number of years since Jimmy because of his history with the Cowboys.
Just a few years ago a local poll had almost 60% of local fans believing he could be first HC to take Cowboys to a championship game sine 90’s dynasty.
And he came fairly close on more than one occasion. But he fell out of favor with most with the collapse this year making a change imminent as much as Jerry fought it off.
I could understand what there still might be some interest. We still have fans who like what Bill and even Wade did here. And some have rooted Wade on since he left here.
Most Cowboy fans know who the real culprit is here. And as long as he is our chances are less regardless what HC we have. That said we always retain some hope. But we aren’t naive enough after the last 25 years to believe MM is the absolute Savior from our dysfunctional leadership.
There are MILLIONS of fans that still want Jason Garrett as our coach:
Giant's fans
Eagle's fans
Foreskin Fans
...
...
I dont think they are saying that exactly,Listening to The Fan and here them discussing this and getting fan texts saying this staff is not better than the last one.. LMAO! Are these the same folks who feel the Earth is flat by any chance?
Shocking from you. Another insult to fans.60% of local fans were idiotic.
Of course, part of the issue with coaches not leading 2 separate teams to a Super Bowl is that once they win the first one they are pretty embedded with that team and may not ever go to another team, or if they do they sometimes don't have a lot of years left.I won't miss a damn thing about Garrett. Even the memes.
I like what MM has done so far, but he faces an extreme challenge in Dallas, not only having to answer to the Joneses, but leading two teams to a Super Bowl is a tall order, and winning one with two teams has proved to be impossible. I'm rooting for him though. For the first time since Parcells left, I feel like we have a HC that's in charge.
Yes he did. Not a single redeeming quality as a coach.he didnt suck,
By most accounts players liked him and trusted him. I suspect he also worked hard at his job. Obviously those things alone don't make a coach successful, but they are good qualities in a coach.Yes he did. Not a single redeeming quality as a coach.
While that stat is often used it doesn’t represent how many have led multiple teams to a SB or teams to the playoffs which I’d argue is a better measurement.Of course, part of the issue with coaches not leading 2 separate teams to a Super Bowl is that once they win the first one they are pretty embedded with that team and may not ever go to another team. Even if they do, they may not have a lot of years left.
Anyone lobbying for Garrett needs therapy and medication.Shocking from you. Another insult to fans.
I can’t attach the link from said newspaper in this forum but I want to say that poll was after 2014 season.
Agreed. Most liked him and he seemed like a stand up guy, the issue is it ran it's course. He had a lot of opportunities, just couldn't get it done.By most accounts players liked him and trusted him. I suspect he also worked hard at his job. Obviously those things alone don't make a coach successful, but they are good qualities in a coach.
nah he didnt at all his record proved it and he wasn't on the market very long.. he simply couldnt take us to the promise land.. Opinions are like..... , well you know..Yes he did. Not a single redeeming quality as a coach.
He sucked. He wasn't run of the mill, he was actively detrimental to his team for his entire tenure.nah he didnt at all his record proved it and he wasn't on the market very long.. he simply couldnt take us to the promise land.. Opinions are like..... , well you know..
definition of coach who sucks have horrible records, get fired after 3 seasons etc etc they are all over the NFL and it not Garett..just an average ru n of the mill nothing special HC who could win but not a championship pedigree, sure but suck is saved for the bottom 16 coaches year in and year out that wish they had all the decsions wins and even a handful of playoff games with a few first round byes..that doesnt spell suck..its spells average..
btw MM has a lot fo work to do to get this team to a division win, and the 2nd round of the payoffs, as ki him, thats no easy task.. once he doa this if we havent beemn to an NFCCG and SB wihin 4 years , welp hes just another Graett..
ignorant fan narrative , if this were true explain 13-3 , 7-1 run to make the playoffs and beat seatle , if EVERYONE KNEW WHAT WAS COMIGN WE WOULD BE 3-13 OR WORSE EVERY YEAR..PERIOD..McCarthy is an actual coach.
Garrett learned how to pretend to act and talk like one.
Hence the simplicity, supposedly for the players.
Meanwhile every opponent knew what was coming.
not true its YOUR opinion , the definition of suck would not be Garett's record the last 10yrs..sorry average yes suck NOPE sorry better study up on your.. the most used term for Garetts teams have been mediocrity , well that means middle, but suck would be bottom.. that we were not..He sucked. He wasn't run of the mill, he was actively detrimental to his team for his entire tenure.
Not getting fired doesn't mean he was good, it means Jerry was bad not to fire him.
