Every player doesn’t announce they’re returning the following season. Players only do that when they’re considering retiring. It’s going to be year to year with him.

uhhh what? nearly every single player who's ever suffered a season ending injury announces whether they'll be back for the following season. it's an indication of progress.

besides that, he just made a tweet saying hunting season 2k20 coming at ya. not like it said "after consulting w/ my doctors, my family, and doing some soul searching... I believe I will continue to play football this next season"

Definitely a year to year situation. For his sake, you hope this doesn't turn into a week-to-week scenario during the season.

I can't pretend to know what is in LVE mind or pretend to know what is long term future is. Right now just looking forward to seeing him back and the field and making plays.

I’m reading the tweet that was posted saying that LVE confirmed he was returning in 2020. That’s not a typical post from a player ready for the season. That’s a typical post from a player who was contemplating retirement. Drew Brees said he was returning in 2020 because he contemplated retirement.
The tweet is from a media guy making a assumption based off what he thinks the post means. Nothing from LVE says he was confirming a return. His return was never in doubt

It was announced by the team he would be ready for the 2020 season after his surgery. The team downplayed it as a “procedure.” Players don’t confirm they’re returning for a season if they’re not considering retirement. He underwent neck surgery and has a narrowing of the spine which has retired several players.

The tweet that was posted said he confirmed he was returning. Why did he need to confirm that?

He simply posted that he is looking forward to starting the 2020 season. People, especially the person who tweeted, seem to be reading too much into it and/or just trying to create drama

Bro no where in that post did he confirm he’s returning.....you are confusing the tweet with the actually post.

I don't think he was contemplating retirement. I think it's a post related to his health though. Basically confirming that he'll be healthy enough to return. I don't think retirement was ever in the discussion.

Again who cares what the tweet said. The tweet means literally nothing. That’s not LVE

It means nothing to you because you don’t like the sound of it. It was speculated after his neck surgery that it could threaten his career. After the surgery Garrett said we don’t “think” it’s career threatening. His neck will end up retiring him before he’s 30.

Anytime a player feels the need to say they’re returning for a season that’s a sign it’s going to be year to year with them. Any more problems with his neck and he’ll be announcing his retirement. I said after his surgery he’s not likely to have a long career.
Or they have reporters asking him silly questions....

All I’ve seen is the tweet. There’s been a lot of discussion on his neck since he had the surgery. Retirement may not have been in the discussion but I think it’s going to be at some point. He has a narrowing of the spine which is what Michael Irvin had. I’ll be surprised if he plays until he’s 30.

KJJ, I think you have an axe to grind! :)
