Isn't Glazer typically breaking trades and contracts? That, coupled with the shows promotion, I wouldn't think it would be about the season.

My bet would be on a top Draft pick(s) traded, maybe even a player or two being involved. That, or a certain team with a certain QB finally made am agreement on a contract

Would anyone be extatic if they nabbed diggs in a trade back scenario and Delpit was on the board at 51 or would u rather go a complete diffrent direction?
I would be very happy diggs the delpit and then hope a pray another CB falls to them in the 3rd hirts in the 4th and grab Reggie Robinson in the 5th woot hell of a draft if u ask me.
We nees to address this secondary before it gets outta hand.
Next uear the rest of this secondary gets to run free in freeagency.
I would jump for joy with Diggs, Delpit and Robinson. I would use the other picks on DL, WR and maybe LB.

Falcons aren't taking Chaisson. Not at 16 and definitely not in a trade up

Fairly. Yes. They just signed Fowler to a pretty big contract. They also have Takk , he isn't great, but it's too early to give up on him. He had a solid rookie year and a poor second season. They have plenty of other needs. Specifically cornerback.

They're not cutting McKinley, but they're clearly not counting on him either. If they had faith in him, they wouldn't have overpaid for Fowler for 3 years.

OK....so then why take Chaisson...you have Fowler?

They did just lose Beasley

I don't think 'lose' is the proper word to use for a player that they actively decided not to re-sign. They signed Fowler for $16 million a year over 3 years while Beasley took a 1-year prove-it deal with Tennessee for 'up to $12 million.' Clearly, the Falcons made their decision. Fowler over Beasley. But that still doesn't overcome the disappointing return on McKinley to this point.

And for the record, I hope they go cornerback.

The Ravens have two seconds and two thirds. They need a pass rusher. They will trade up to get Chaisson book it. My opinion obviously.

Won't happen. It'll cost them more than a second to jump over Dallas. Atlanta is interested in moving up, not down. So Baltimore probably has to get to 15. When's the last time Baltimore moved up significantly in the draft?

Because the last guy you drafted only got you 3.5 sacks last year and has been a disappointment. As a team, the Falcons finished 22nd in sacks last year. And 7.5 of those came from DT Grady Jarrett and another 4 from the departed Adrian Clayborn.

Man, I'm telling you all this jockeying for QBs, CBs, OTs, and WRs is going to drop Kinlaw right in our laps. Will Dallas take him though?

Too early to give up on takk, drafting Chaisson is basically saying you give up on takk..he got you 7.5 sacks year 1..they will give him another year...they need a CB more than an end. They probably need a DT more than an end too. Kinlaw and Henderson are probably their trade up targets...Chaisson could definitely be an option if everything else fails

Keep telling yourself that

they need a CB more than an end.

Maybe so, maybe not. It's far from the certainty that you want to think it is.

I'd bet that it would be Henderson more likely as a trade up over Chaisson if I had to put money on it too. But I think if they stay put and Henderson is gone, I think they'd take Chaisson right ahead of us. Unfortunately for us, their needs are very similar and they draft ahead of us.

OK. Let's watch the draft unfold. There is a reason they are desperate to move up. But keep telling yourself that a team that's biggest FA signing is going to be at the same position as their first round draft pick..because that's how teams operate...
