I guess you didn’t see
The great Mahomes in the Super Bowl He stunk it up way worse. Overthrows Under throws. Aiming the football. Yes I’m comparing Prescott to Mahomes media lover boy Mr. hail Mary another Aaron Rodgers. No way he was MVP. He threw up a Hail Mary the receiver should’ve got MVP
To be fair I agree Jimmy G outplayed Mahomes for the first three quarters of the Superbowl. Whilst Mahomes got it done with the last few drives I agree that he didn't play well overall.

But then he didn't play too badly in the two other post season games to help the team reach the SB.

He had a horrible playoff series. I agree with Terry Bradshaw overrated. The Super Bowl bailed him out

. I remember everyone saying he couldn’t put up 400 yard passing games. And that’s all he did. But that’s not how you win ballgames we lost the balance. Every time someone says something he can’t do. He goes out and prove them wrong. I just don’t know what else we would do for quarterback if we didn’t have him. I don’t want Carson Wentz and I don’t like Jared Goff. I think we got the best quarterback in his class.
I agree on all the above. I'd rather have Dak then them. Especially Goff.

Last season how easy to forget. We started almost every drive inside or 20 yard line. Worst field position of any team in the league. And we still drove the ball. I hope we fix special teams above everything else
OH I remember very well. Starting from the 20....worst special teams in the league....defense gets no turnovers. That's how you rack up yards....having to always go 80 yards to score. Or I guess it would be 75......

Red, I like you man that is why I respond to you! BUT, you do cherry pick from time to time to fit your narrative. It's obvious you're not a fan of Prescott which puts you in a position that enables you to tear down anything positive in regards to his performance. The truth is, Dak is a very good young QB and whether you like it or not has posted some historic stats since he has been at the helm. I like Dak so I love to hang my hat on the positives. You don't like him so you look for the negatives which is fine, and that you do well...

For example- guys like you are "YEA BUT" to a fault.. You guys talk about elite QB's like Brees and Brady but these guys have had the same kind of accuracy issues and win percentages depending on the years played and the team or coaches they played under or with.
Yeah..

We good.

All I know is..

I would not use the style used here in the Forum to make a point I wanted to win with my ex-wife or my current GF.

I would be sleeping on the couch ..no snuggle buddy for sure.

So we do things differently than in real life.

Sure I occasionally cherry pick because it's shorter than most of you want to hear.

It's understandable but the risk of not being clear is my issue.

Prescott is definitely having growing pains. He is still learning how to work in the big leagues of national stardom.

I am older and Lord knows I have earned my grey hair. Dak ain't got any yet.

I believe it will get settled but Dak has really placed alot of pressure on himself.

I want to just win as a fan. No agendas, no bile.

I want to enjoy this year if it happens.

Now for the next distraction.

Da Draft.

Lmao. Some people just see what they want to see my cowboy brother
I don't like to call anyone out, but I can't stand flat out lies in order to demean any Cowboys player. One is entitled to their opinion, but they are not entitled to their own facts. Anyone who has seen Dak perform for the past 4 years knows Dak has brought this team back from behind to win a game or carried the team many times.

I think he's a top 12 QB with top 5 upside, especially when Cooper, Gallup and Elliott are all healthy. Gotta pay the man, Jerry.

I dont think he has top 5 upside. Nont in the true meaning of elite. But he may have some stats that are up there.

If the Cowboys had a great OL, RB and WR they would've won more than 8 games.

And how did Dak regress? He had his best statistical year of his career. So now the narrative is he got worse? 2017 is the worst year of his career.

Regardless of stats Prescott was most effective in 2016. He had more pop to his acceleration and more air in his tyres. He seemed to make more plays albeit generally with his legs but it was more effective for the team and worked better when the offense was centred around Elliott.

Prescott did not impress me last season despite all of those stats he didn't even have a couple of games where he was the x factor and key to the offense in turn help winning the game. Going back to 2016 and the excellent team wins away to the Packers and Steelers, whilst Elliott for me was the main key I was impressed with how Prescott played his role in both games and as a rookie QB he even made a very composed and important throw to Dez to help beat the Steelers.

Since the team has relied on his arm more the team has become less efficient at winning games. Even if people point at stats where he has improved his throwing a third down x y and z it's just clear that the team is far better suited and more successful when the offense is based around Elliott.

Dak is great at driving the bus and I would like him to use his legs far more like in 2016. The problem for him and his fans is that....that isn't worth $35+ million a season. That's the issue.

So I think the powers that be tried to go to a more throwing oriented offense to justify adjusting Prescott's role and his impending contract. It took the ball out of Elliott's hands and into Prescott's. It helped improve his individual stats but as a result the offense got worse against good teams.

Totally disagree. People need to know why the Cowboys lost most of those 8 games last year.

So is the offensive coaching and scheme to blame? Yes it contributed.

Fair. Everyone is entitled to their view. A friend of mine whose opinion I respect is of the view that Prescott was our best player last season and has to get paid. Equally he completely values my opinion and as above, I have a very different view.

It's interesting as we agree on a lot regarding sport in general especially the NFL, both Cowboy fans yet our views are at complete opposites like most Cowboy fans on here regarding Prescott.

Skewed stats! This is what happens when you play your best game in a meaningless game against the crappiest team in football but was ‘injured’ the week before when you controlled your own destiny. Let’s hope McCarthy can fix what’s happening here. Top tier stats.. still can’t make the playoffs! lol

Incorrect.

Last seasons 8-8 was on the failed head coach.

You can't blame Dak for the worst special teams in the league.

You can't blame Dak for the worst kicker in the league.

You can't blame Dak for the worst starting field position in the league.

Oh yes they can.

They shouldn't, and it's incorrect, but they can. :)
