Hill just doesn’t seem like he loves football or is motivated to improve. Was the same way in college

As I said it is all on him, he has to show it or he is gone. Really falls on him. I think he has the physical tools and I think it comes down to how bad he wants it.

Nick Eatman said Diggs and Gallimore had two of the 5 highest ratings on the Cowboys board from the players available today.

I believe it. Digge was being talked about a month or so ago as a 1st rounder. Though I wasn’t on the Gallimore train the guy is a great pick for the interior in the 3rd: I feel like we forced nothing this year

Hill will get the opportunity because the Cowboys want competition this summer if and when training camp begins.

Does not matter the reason you get an opportunity it is what you do with the opportunity. I feel good where we are at DT right now with or without Hill.

Why him over Elliott? Elliott seemed like the better player...?
Cowboys' Neville Gallimore: Heads to Dallas

The Cowboys selected Gallimore in the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft, 82nd overall.

Gallimore is the second Oklahoma Sooner taken by the Cowboys in this draft, joining teammate CeeDee Lamb in Dallas. A defensive tackle, Gallimore has strong athleticism for his size at 301 pounds as he ran a 4.79 in the 40-yard dash. He's a fluid player who can get up the field in a hurry from the defensive interior. He'll have the added benefit from being under the tutelage of Gerald McCoy and Dontari Poe.

Cut Crawford, save $8 million, give that money to either Everson Griffin or Clowney.

That would complete this dream offseason. We have killed this draft.

At this point in time you have a motivated Crawford on a 1 year lease looking for a pay day. I think he stays and produces beyond what we expect. Just a hunch. But this D line got a whole lot better!

He's an erfa. He can't go anywhere unless Dallas releases him. If they tender him he can't play anywhere else for any amount of money.

Would be stupid to release him. He's not a great starter but he's a solid backup.

They would’ve had to tender him before the league year began otherwise he’d be an UFA. Nothing is publicly known about that but my guess he was tendered and it just went under the radar.

Hill had bad snaps last year but many came at 1T, a position he never played and isn't strong enough for.

Serious head scratching over his use there

Can’t say I feel “real good” about where we are at DT until I see how the DL performs. The Cowboys are McCoy’s third team in three seasons. He’s clearly a declining player. Hill was a complete flop as a second round pick last season and we just drafted a DT in the third round and there’s no guarantees with him. We’ll just have to see how it plays out.

The problem might be numbers.

They typically carry 4 DTs and Crawford as the swing. We now have 5 DTs - Poe, McCoy, Gallimore, Hill and Woods.

Will be curious to see how DT shakes out.
