This is silly.

Seriously silly.

People just never understand. You're the type of fan who has given up on player after player. Wrong much more often than you're right. But cling to that one shot in the dark that one time where you were sorta kinda right and claim to be a guru forever more.

100% agree.

The guy barely played because he wasn't ready to contribute. OR, maybe hadn't heard enough of Marinelli's expletive-filled nonsense to earn the stripes necessary to see more snaps.

I hate to say it but the latter is just as likely as the former. Marinelli is a fool who kept throwing lower-tier talent at our fandom to prove he could get some no-name, never-was bum to somehow come up with a QB tackle for a loss every so often at the highest level of football.

Hill deserves another year. He has the ability. Let him choose his path in our out.

Negative. Gillmore can actually defend against the run where Maliek is more of a niche pass rush specialist. Gilmore is a better athlete as well

Only thing Maliek had for him was he was a little less raw but give me a better run defender + better athlete all day long

Maliek was a good player, especially when he found a quickness matchup he could exploit. When he did, he took full advantage.

I would not call him an effort player however. He went cold in some very big contests and was dinged up quite a bit.

I actually expected much more from him because he would flash so often, but he never really put it all together.

C'mon, you already understand the basic reference point...don't play as if one doesn't.

It's clear that the basic reference got screwed up, but it's unclear to me what it should have been. Hence I asked.

Why him over Elliott? Elliott seemed like the better player...?
I would have preferred Ellitot. Not in love with the pick but he has good potential. Hope he comes in and works hard and improves his technique.

Overview
Flash talent whose tape has moments but fails to fully deliver. Gallimore goes hard from snap to whistle with secondary effort that brings decent production, but his NFL potential may be limited by a lack of leverage and contact balance. Oklahoma had him playing in the gaps but he might be more effective improving his hands and learning to two-gap. Unless he turns the flashes into a finished product, his future may be as a rotation tackle in an even front.
Strengths
  • Possesses untapped potential for teams to mold
  • Motor runs hot and never takes plays off
  • Above-average snap quickness
  • Hands are active and carry some pop into contact
  • Punch and works to find the edge as nose rusher
  • Spins out of stalled mid-line rush looking for secondary shot
  • Able to force his way in once he gets under the edge
  • Hustles down the line or downfield to chase running backs
  • Never content and always looking for work

This guy is almost like a Maliek Collins clone when collins came out. At least marinelli wont be here to ruin him. Never seen a kid have his best year be his rookie season and regress after that.

I personally would have taken terrell lewis as an edge rusher if we were going to go d line help but still not a bad pick and strengthens a really weak group inside.

I've got no idea how to assess this guy. Every ******** play the Sooners seem to run a stunt. It was frustrating as hell to try and figure out what he could do.

At this point in time you have a motivated Crawford on a 1 year lease looking for a pay day. I think he stays and produces beyond what we expect. Just a hunch. But this D line got a whole lot better!
I don't think so. Effort was never Crawfords problem. I think we got his best from day one. The problem is that his best was just ok. I know that we can't have superstars at every position but we need better production than what he brings.

Bingo he's been playing out of position and he's just not that naturally gifted. His ceiling is a 5 sack guy. No way he would start on any other team in the league at this point. And especially not with a 10m cap hit

Injuries are the problem with Collins. Every time he got going he got hurt. I think last year he just played through a foot instead of sitting out if I remember correctly.

If Gallimore can be like Collins was coming out and stay healthy then we’ve got something.

People blame collins career regression on injuries. That really wasn't it. It was marinelli moving him to 1t after having a 5.5 sack year at 3t as a rookie. But I really like this kid's traits and I think he can definitely turn into a starter. Good pick

What in the world are you talking about? He asked a legitimate question?
Figure it out, as the answer was given twice.

Lost One, this is lost three...you looking for lost too? Good night son...neither of you two seem to have done enough listening to have more than a ring tapper's cocky about you.

Try listening to Sirius sports a touch more before the draft, next year...88 is a pretty darned good listening channel.

Not so fast...sometimes in sports, a little off is intended to highlight an aspect that deserves discussion. So, not so fast, Mr. High School journalism major...
a discussion, and not critique could be in order...
