I second this.

I want him to get whatever the law will allow.

Some people want to twist my post into another Dak Hate post which I tried to be clear it was not.

But hey, no good deed goes unpunished around here.

Dude the only person you’re fooling with the nonsense in this post is yourself. Ain’t fooling anyone else. We know what you are. You prove it over and over again.

Just my observation as a fulltime Cowboy fan and having been in the media as a professional photographer.

While Dak mitigates his contract..

no advertiser will feature him in upcoming commercials or appearances using the Cowboy logo.

Advertisers can not risk shooting Dak and suddenly he does not play for the team becuz of a dispute.

This is costing him multi-million and he knows it.

The longer this goes on, the more it will cost. It's now May and Dak is not signing in the foreseeable future. Commercials have to be written, cast and executed to get them ready to be used.

I have said many times before about how I feel about Dak and his issues. That is not what this is about.

This is my professional opinion and Dak needs to wrap this up. Otherwise, he will not be in mini camp nor ready for TC whenever the season is given the go ahead.

QBs like Wilson, Jackson, Mahomes, Brees and others are going to get the contracts as Dak remains in limbo.

That is a lot of money to leave on the table..free money if you will.

I really do hope he and the team come to terms soon.

Both sides need the good vibes and positive image going forward.

he may lose some...but then again right now is anybody shooting commercials?

and there are many commercials, where the NFL Brand/NFL Team is not featured. just the player, because he is known....

so not sure how accurate you are...but sounds like we want to think he is going to be desparate and he is going to sign...

Looks like he's having back spasms but I guess it's likely he's been coached to do that, huh? :omg:

Dak should realize that Texas pays less in tax & being QB for the Cowboys brings him more in endorsements.

I cant remember which media guy was saying that Dallas messed up and should have let Dak test the market because even if there was a team or 2 that would offer him around the money he wants. He would need to even make more money by signing somewhere other than Dallas cause he would lose the tax & endorsement money, which is probably an extra 4-5 million a year playing for the Cowboys.

Not to mention that the Cowboys have given him more weapons & O-line help than pretty much any QB sees in their career.

LOL. Guy is losing ad chances for a sport that is closed due to a pandemic in a country where budgets are largely frozen....

We must do better. Need an option where like 50 dislikes get a thread deleted or something.

We have been told a fair amount on the negotiations and Dak is not arguing about dollars. He is arguing about years. They are settled at ~35m per year.

He wants a 4 year deal that allows him to re-up on the new CBA in his prime.
The 3rd NFL contract is the sweet spot for QBs long-term wealth.
DAL wants 6 years to secure him into bargain years.
So far he has resisted meeting in middle at 5.

They got 4 years from him at kicker prices.
That bargain is over.
He's not wrong to assume franchise QBs will be getting 50M per year in 2024 and thus doesn't wanna be signed for 37M during 2025/2026.

He will only feel the hit in endorsements if he fails to sign and show up, which he will not do. Prescott, his agent and his corporate sponsors know that under the usual circumstances, not showing up for 31.5M for one year would be asinine but under the current conditions, careercide. Unemployment climbing weekly and he's a no show? No company would touch him.

He's not overdue at this point and no reason for any company to not show his ads after a break during his family's grief.

Then we play him under the franchise tag this year & next off-season sign him to the 4 year deal he wants. Dallas gets their 5 year deal or Dak plays another year under the tag and hits free agency the year after. But how many teams will sign him to a 2 year deal at that point? Sorry Dak needs to at least give a little and take a 5 year deal. He can still get another contract down the line

And I think there is issues with the guaranteed money. Dak wants the same guarantee money in 4 years as Dallas wants to give in 5 years.
