What is something you have learned as you have matured?

I thought when I was in my 30's, I might have it figured out by my 60's. But then I crossed that 70 threshold and finally accepted that I do not know why I am here. It is just as much a mystery as it was then.

Am I here on purpose, with purpose, or is this just biology? I do spend a lot of reflective time on that one question, why am I here? If I am here on purpose, what then is my purpose? Have I achieved it and am unaware. Am I supposed to be doing something that I've yet to do?

The randomness of life has perplexed me for all of my life that I have been aware. So, one thing I have learned and accepted is that life's toughest questions will most likely not be answered.

Marriage Advice:
- Don't keep score
- Your wife/husband doesn't want you to solve their problems; they want to vent and have their (sometimes crazy) feelings validated
- Do little things

Work Advice:
- Someone above said it; be reliable/show up above all else. Everyone is pretty much the same, so being there is more than half the battle
- Don't fight every battle; it's ok to relent sometimes. It's better for your health
- Be of service; "that's not my job" should rarely, if ever, be your reply when asked to do something

General:
- Don't argue politics on social media
- Don't correct people by being a "Well actually" guy. You come off like a jerk, and sometimes you'll actually be wrong and look even worse. If someone says something wrong, let it go (unless it's life or death of course, which it won't be).
- Don't get into Dak arguments on cowboyszone. Every one is already dug in on their position. Your stats pulled from wherever aren't going to change anyone's minds pro or con
- If you can't spot the the sucker at the table after 30 minutes, YOU ARE the sucker
