So either Cowherd appeals to you..

or his co-host Joy Taylor does.

Of course Taylor is the sister of the famous DL from the Dolphins fame.

I think she should have her own show. Brains and beauty.

Cowherd just gets older.

But I digress.

Here he talks about the only real issue in sports..

THE CONTRACT.

Listen up..

this already has been posted and commented on same video etc etc:facepalm:

We really do need a Dak zone to clean this area up. I don’t come to CZ as much anymore because it’s the same talking heads bashing about the same stuff. Let’s face it, no one is going convince anyone to come to the other side anymore. It’s all the same crap being spewed over and over again. Some of y’all are talking into brick walls.
I aim't talking.

These guys are talking.

Can't see any difference?

Guilt by association.

Sorry..there is nothing else to talk about anymore.

Just whether or not to order a green mask or a printed mask for the pandemic.

Now there is repeatitive boredom.

I come here to get away from it.

Now you think I am just as boring discussing Dak and other sportswriters?

With all due respect..your world is shrinking.

Not my fault.

The way this contract has align for Dak is the so-called perfect storm......
*Highest paid position
*Playing for the highest valued sports franchise
* transcending from 4th round pick to an elite top 5-10 starter
* Never missed a game
* 150% confidence from his owner ( I honestly believe if it's up to Jerry and there was no salary cap, he'd give Dak a blank
check). That's how special I believe Jerry sees Dak to the Cowboys.
* He's young, smart, charismatic, check all the boxes as the face of the franchise

There isn't one poster/fan who can say they wouldn't maximize their potential just as Dak with a straight face IMO. This is why I say more power to him, get it now coz 10-15 years from now he'll be out the league but the Cowboys will still be standing.

Oh Wow!

This trip down memory lane is amazing...

Watching Herd shill for his aging sources and 19th century ideas....

"There will be cuts" ....."people in their 20s are always broke"

This is classic lazy GM and cheap owner talk....we all know they save money for cheaper tickets, concessions and sign free agents with money saved from QB deals smh

If the mods wish they will merge.

I checked when I posted this and didn't see it. Maybe it was buried in a thread somewhere but I did not see it.

So shoot me. BTW..I did not post it for you. I posted it for others who are fair-minded and want to know.

Who named you the Thread King? Good lord.

Mods?

Cowherd, fair with Cowboys....?
Go watch him talk about us last year, stuck with us as division winners up until the Eagles loss.

Even when we looked like crap he’d pick us to bounce back. Think we scarred him lol.

Cowherd can really sound reasonable at times. He’s smart and unafraid, and I agree with many things he says, BUT, he see us taking a step back from 8-8. According to Cowherd, the defense is weaker, but I disagree. For one thing, we’re more stout at DT. Secondly, while we lost Jones, we added Diggs, Robinson, Clinton-Dix, and Canady to the secondary. Third, our scheme won’t be as simple and predictable.

Cowherd is smart, but he doesn’t know the Cowboys like we do, and dramatized doom-n-gloom concerning the Cowboys is good for his paycheck.
Yup. I think he wiffed on this one.

You guys got recognizable names at DT...and bigger (at least with Poe). It remains to be seen if you got better…

These guys are not in their prime...and we’re part of a very bad run defense last year. I don’t remember these signings being thought of as ‘huge’ around the league. I understand they were very welcome here since DT seems to have been an oversight of the Cowboys defense for a while. But we don’t know if these guys really represent a sizable upgrade.

I also think losing Jones is bigger than many here think.
I think it's a lot smaller than you think.

For once I think he was 100% when talking about Dak but when it came to the defense he lost me. I think we improved on defense slightly and not running the same generic scheme will help..

I will say however that Mike Nolan is the biggest gamble in the coaching staff. Nothing about him impresses me honestly

Colin also thinks we have a crap defense and McCarthy isn’t much of an upgrade over Garrett. He’s usually pretty fair with us but he doesn’t even think we’ll win 9 games. He’s super down on us this season idk why, not like we lost half the starters of a 12-win team.
Why do you care what he thinks? Hes wrong on almost everything he says like his counterparts

Cowherd says stuff to be controversial. Sometimes I think he just says things without thinking, as if he hasn't prepared for his show in years. He is entitled to his opinions, of course, but his opinions are worth no more than anyone else's including the most tuned out fan's.

I disagree with him on the new onside kick proposal. The proposal is the gimmick. You're not meant to have the ball twice in a row in football. They only way to do it is to have the ball travel 10 yards from a kickoff and recover it. Not give the ball back to the quarterback after you score.

The NFL has ruined the onside kick with their rule changes putting themselves in a position where the only way to compensate for that is to find a gimmick.

"Deserve" is a meaningless term in Pro Sports.

Players get paid millions because of supply and demand.

Soldiers that are at high risk of being maimed or killed "deserve" more than Pro Athletes but the pool of available candidates to become soldiers is likely in the millions as compared to the pool of player with the ability to become Pro Athletes which in the case of the NFL is a couple of thousand.

Who cares. Cowherd speaks as if he’s the greatest sports thinker of all time — when in reality he is simply a trash talk show host.
