We learned from our mistake with marrion barber and it worked out! Letting DeMarco walk was one of the best moves Dallas has made.
The dak situation is the exact same. With the exact same knuckle heads acting like the team will fall apart without him. It wasn't true with DeMarco it isn't true with dak.
No dak > overpaid dak
Letting Murray go was one of the worst moves.

Pointing to his productivity with the Eagles does not take into consideration the way he was used and his unfamiliarity with the Eagle players.

Worse, it totally dismisses the fact that Murray and the Cowboy offensive line had something very special going on.

And why not? Murray practically raised that line. In 2013 the O-line was composed of 5 players that had never played their specific position in the NFL.

Murray was a fantastic receiver too. The specifics of what happened has been distorted but Jerry did start out with a low ball offer. Jerry's bargaining premiss was based on the belief that any RB could find success with that O-line. The only thing that ran well was Joseph Randles mouth.

Jerry Jones underestimated the value of cohesion, familiarity, and synchronization. Murray knew exactly what each lineman could do, what it took to get around them, where they would be during a play. That cannot be replaced. That is teamwork and that was the key to the offense's success, just about any success. Typically successful offenses have a core of players that have played and practiced for years together.

And that is why the Cowboys need and must have Dak Prescott. Jerry and Dak both know this which is why Jerry is trying to undermine Dak's position through the media. Apparently it's working.

Your history is wrong. Murray did not act like the team would fall apart without him, the Cowboys just decided they couldn't pay both him and Dez at market value, so they picked one. As for Barber, he had already started fading when the Cowboys let him walk - only 374 yards his last Cowboy season.

I guess you like losing seasons, never having a chance and searching for the next QB for the next 5 years while wasting CD, Gallup and the rest of the rookies time with the cowboys.

awesome.

why so much hate and anger?
We had a losing season and no playoffs with dak. What's the difference?

You should heed your own advice and walk away from the Dallas Cowboys.

Problem solved.

So explain Zeke's rookie season...

they lowballed Demarco, allowed him to get poached, and the team fell apart. Yeah, seems like a solid plan

Every awful thread with "Dak" in the title is going to get multiple pages of insults going back and forth?

This place is better than that.

It really is.

losing season? 8-8 is not a losing season....but I guess I am being picky.

so I guess its all Dak's fault. all the losses fall on his shoulders...how about the wins?

I'm not hating, dak is good I admit that. He just isn't irreplaceable good. His talent level is easy to come by. Same with murray and barber.
It's fine to have good and average players but if you start paying them like they're elite that's when you jam yourself up.
I like dak and would be happy to have him as my QB, just not for anything near what he is asking. Honestly he has earned about half of what they're reporting he wants.
We shouldn't overpay dak just because "hes what we have and we must keep him." That's false. Hes no marino, namath, aikman, brady... hes just ok.
his talent is easy to come by...great...give us a few of these easy ones....that are just as good.
