Andy Dalton is a quality QB

Last season 33 QB's had 200 or more attempts. Dalton was ranked 32nd in passer rating.

Only Jamis Winston threw more pick sixes. Dalton was ranked 30th in completion percentage, 25th in INT percentage, 29th in yards per attempt, 32nd in TD percentage.

Last season Andy Dalton wasn't the lone bright spot on a lousy offense, he pretty much personified that lousy offense. he has steadily declined over the past three seasons and all I see in him is the next Cassel, Weeden, Orton, whatever.....

The 33 year old Andy Dalton version has been beaten up over the past 2-3 seasons. He's missed twice as many games over the past two seasons than he did in the previous seven.

I don't understand why he would be considered quality.

So wait.....When dak played our last game last year...not very well...and he/we blamed it on an injury. If Andy was "beaten up" as much as you say...might HIS bad performances be from injuries?

I get it ...one bad game versus a couple years. But just throwing it up on the wall.

What a stupid thread. Dak is a top 10 quarterback. We have weapons all over the field offensively. The only way Dak will be replaced by Dalton is if there is an injury. Hurts has a better chance of replacing Wince in Philthy.
What a stupid poster! Read the whole thread. Pendejo!
I just noticed your cute Rowdy avatar!! Lol! Talk about stupid! Lol.

Say what?!!!? Which Romo are you talking about?
the Tony Romo lol. I mean if you take away the years he got hurt and didnt play more than half a season. All years he started his teams were fighting for a playoff spot. Wasn't mathematically eliminated until the last games of several years.

In my opinion, Andy is a quality QB. I like Dak and I believe he will be a Cowboy for a long time. However, I've been an Andy fan for years. Here's my question, if Dak doesn't sign an extension and struggles a bit early in the season, how long until,
1. The fans start yelling for Dalton?
2. How long until MM or Jerry pull the plug on Dak?
Ranch you told the truth but you made a big CZ mistake when you said “Andy is a quality QB”. The haters will run with that until the end of the thread.

You are comparing Dak to Mariota? Troll alert!!!!!
More like, I'm giving a scenario onto why he'd get pulled. Did you read the original post? You do realize if Dak doesnt throw a touchdown for 3-4 games and his completion % is under 60, AND they're losing, that he could get pulled? This is a hypothetical. He would need to play down to a Mariota for this to happen.

Difference between Mariotta and Dak though is they actually believe Dak is their franchise QB. Titans didn't think that of Mariota.
Exactly my point. It would take for the team to lose faith in Dak as their franchise QB. He would need to really stink it up. Will it happen? Doubt it. But thats the question from the original post. I answered it.

I mean in the NFC East its not really hard to "fight". Most years it only takes 9 wins to get in lol. NFC East is bad enough to where just showing up you should contend.

Sure, this guy did it 8/8 years he started the majority of the season. Eight out of eight. ****** division, sure, still counts for something. he never stunk it up. Thats why he never got pulled.

When has Dak ever been as bad as Mariota? Dak has never been under 60%. He has never had three or four games not throwing a touchdown. Dak led the number 1 offense in football last year. He has more weapons now and a better coach so now you think he will regress. The offseason cannot end soon enough.

Okay. which would not make it likely for it to happen. I answered the question on what it would take for this HYPOTHETICAL to happen. But you don't seem to understand what the original post asked.

Let's just eat good seafood and laugh at the stressed while we drink beers and admire the coast.

Wish I was there, on the coast.

It seems hard for Texans to look at NFL Andy Dalton objectively. I live in Ohio and don't care about Texas high school or college football. I saw more of Dalton's Bengals than I wanted and I'll leave it at this: If the Cowboys have to resort to Dalton at QB find something else to do on Sunday.
