I think you need to re-read the article. He barely mentioned that he watches guys like Dak. He gave no specifics as to what he watches, and certainly didn't say he steals anything from him.

So answering to disparage is your goal?
Your man love for Dak is admirable.

Yes, pointing out banality poorly disguised as something different than countless other threads on the same topic was my goal. I didn't try to create a thread around it as if it was of interest to the entire membership of this website though.

Your finding just another way to childishly call someone a "Dak Lover" isn't so admirable.

You seem to crave being viewed as unique, yet everything you are writing is just rehashing the words of others.

Right, he mentioned Dak last, and said nothing specific about what he may or may not have "tried to find out what they do and try to take it out and put it into my game". Taking that to mean he actually does anything to emulate Dak is going way beyond the text.

You would not take Lamar over Dak?????

Bloke, you need a jeepney? Engine block is missing but it runs good....
You didn't even respond to what I wrote - you just made up an argument. I merely said more history is needed to consider Lamar the 2nd best QB in the NFL. To put him at 2nd best you have to put him ahead of a lot more than Dak, you have to put him ahead of Rogers, Wilson, Brees, Brady ….

Your man love for Dak is recorded for posterity.
Be proud to have a QB you love that most would rank 15-10 among NFL QBs.

On a rating of 1 to 10
10 being superb like Mahomes, 1 being a retired JaMarcus Russell

If Mahomes and Lamar are likely Nos. 10 and 9, does it make our highly paid Dak a No. 4?
I don't see Dak being within spitting distance of their talent, along with that of Brees, Brady, Rogers. Even Rivers and Goff and Watson and Garrapolo

Face it, stenographers, buskers, sharks and contractors.
Our QB is the Da Vinci of mediocrity and worse.

Rides the coattails of a juggernaut assembled offense.
Will go down as the biggest imposter flops at QB.
Will disappear after the Boys let him walk in the Spring.
The final rating for this fraud of a QB is.....wait for it...wait for it....3

One of Dak's Fan Boys put him at a 4.
Guess it's difficult for legends to fade away.

Jackson is very talented, but so far is a one year wonder. Perhaps it would be wise to see more before labelling him the 2nd best QB in the NFL.

Jackson is a power still to be greater.
Dak is nowhere near him in execution and, oh, yeah bloke, talent and winning.
Don't make me waste me halfway house phone card.
Accept the facts, man.
dak is a... a 4.
And, yes, it troubles me that we even mention Dak with and in conjunction with, the 10 better QBs in the NFL.

... I put Dak around #6. He's better than avg. Still has room to improve. Perhaps, Big Mike gets him there.

Garrett was to blame for the conservative play calling. Not Dak.
First, it was Linehan then Garrett.
Well, you've run out of coaches to burn and esp now that he's playing on the tag ......oh baby here comes the GAUNTLET!
Enjoy lemon Dak while you can.....

Zero idea how Lamar Jackson is ranked in the top 5 QBs.
He’s great in that system where he runs for more yards than he throws for but I don’t see that being a long term winning strategy. Those guys always end up injured and figured out in the playoffs.

I don't believe lamar is anywhere near a 9 and if we're going to rate dak from 1-10 I'd have him at 5 because of andrew luck syndrome (show up vs bad defenses, meh vs good defenses so that's maybe half the games I'm unimpressed)

With dak I have zero confidence they'll pull off the W. Whereas before with the previous qb i felt we could beat any team. This isnt a former vs current comparison, just putting my perspective on how I view Dak as a whole.
Pretty much agree! The only thing is Andrew Luck had Hilton and that was it. He carried the Colts with his arm alone and went 11-5 his first 3 seasons and made the playoffs. The Colts ruined him by letting him get so beat up and not getting him a RB.
Lamar isnt a 9 he is a product of his legs because he is so quick and elusive it helps the rest of his game. But as a passer he is just another hybrid running QB.

Agree. Luck didn't have an Oline or a quality running back really. Like many others I've seen that movie before and it was no surprise that having carried the team he was essentially forced to retire after taking a beating. Yet some fans booed him after he retired!

I hear what you say regarding Lamar. I largely agree but it's like watching a computer game when he runs, he's just incredible and as a result of teams trying to stop him rushing he will have easier throws/completions. I think he will have say a 4-5 year window depending on injuries but he will be almost unplayable at times, as he was for the most part last season. I expect him to have another huge season especially as the Ravens have a friendly looking schedule and he has more weapons around him. His throwing was a lot better last season as well. There was a fair amount of improvement in that regard.

I am. He came within 1 yard last year of setting the all time Cowboy passing record. Oh yea, I’m enjoying the hell out of having Dak. Real Cowboys fans, not trolls like yourself, do as well.

He's better than RIvers is now. He's always been better than Goff and Watson and Garrapolo. Bree's Brady and Rogers are sure fire hall of famers, so it's no shame to not be in their class...yet. Mahomes is unworldly. Dak is NOT in his class. Not sure he ever will be but again, there's no shame but you can't pay him like he is either. My mind is still not made up about Lamar Jackson. So no he isn't the best but he is far from the worst. I'd put him top 10 but not top 5.

I like Dak as well but I am definitely not ok with a contract that cripples the team salary cap. He's good but he's not "Lift the team on his shoulders" good. He's not Mahomes.
